Talk to me about Disney in the heat!

We were there this past weekend and it was about 90 for all three days (fri-sun). The morning and evenings were wonderful but noon and early afternoon were pretty miserable. The humidity wasn't bad but the sun does get pretty intense. I don't recommend standing in the lines that are in the sun during those times. We stayed in the shade when we could and entered the stores for some relief. We asked for ice water constantly and it was a great service. The heat did drain us pretty quickly so we did not stay as long as we thought we could...

We were there a couple of weeks ago with heat near that, except for one rainy morning. I thought going in October meant cooler weather! :-/ I took a sweater but only used it for about 30 mins one night as the evenings and mornings were warm enough.

Besides activities mentioned by others, try the Enchanted Tiki room in DL after you grab a Dole whip or float right outside. The float really cooled me down, plus you get to sit inside air con for the show. I took my shoes off to give my feet a break also. I felt refreshed when the show was over.

It won't feel humid. It's So Cal, humidity really isn't an issue here. As or the heat, yeah, it's been a very unusually hot Fall. Use the suggestions others have posted regarding places in both parks to escape the heat between about 1p-4p and you'll be fine. Also remember that we change clocks soon so that will adjust when the hottest part of the day hits.

We are usual WDW vets. Just went to DL a few weeks ago and it was mid to high 90's. It did not feel that hot at all. Just sitting in the shade for a few was all the relife we needed. Completly differnt from mid 90's in Forida.
O-M-G I have NO CLE how Floridians do it!!! We just returned from 9 days at WDW. For 7 of those days we had 95 degrees with 85+% humidity. YUCK!!! The humidity killed us! Slowed us down immensely and had us searching for inside things to do... All Day Long --- even at 8pm it was humid out! We just don't have that in So. Cal. The humidity just adds an entirely different aspect to 90+ degree weather.

THIS is what I was talking about. High 70's is great. Low 80's, fine. 90. Not so much. I didn't think it could be that hot in NOVEMBER!

I must apologize for this. We also leave Saturday for the parks and this happens EVERY TIME I go to the parks..mild weather all around when I'm there and then 'unseasonable' highs when I arrive. Even in January on our ABD trip the guides kept talking about how hot is was and handing out water. Was there for the Scavenger Hunt..112..May a few years ago..105...Have been in November before and SUPRISE! here comes the heat. So out goes the long sleeve shirt, in go the capris and so much for trying Ghiradelli Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate.:worried:
