Talk some sense into me...

I feel your pain!! I love the Poly so, so much that staying at a different resort is tough for me. I am staying at BC for a week in January; I really like the proximity to Epcot and the new rooms are lovely. But, I will 100% be back at the Poly next summer!

I hope you have a great trip! My husband and I stayed at the BC last year for F&W. It is a lovely resort!

I second the split-stay! But if Poly is "home" then that's where you should be.

Keep POFQ. It's a beautiful resort. It's nice and small. You'll get a brand new food court and you can take the boat to DS.

We also love the Poly, but not for $2000 more.

I need to join a support group for resort changers....aye aye aye
My husband could live off of the sushi though, and my son loves the pool. I personally have always been a sucker for the Poly, I just feel super guilty now. Maybe one day I will try the FQ. Thanks for the advice and replies, however.

No worries, many people are just like you, including me. I've found that I can spend less money but in the end wish that I had just spent the extra to be where I wanted to be. Example: last Easter I wanted to stay at GF. However, the price.... So, I opted for a split stay, 3 nights at POR and 5 nights at GF. Did I save money? Yes. Did I have more fun because I saved money? No. We spent our 3 days at POR counting the hours until we could switch to GF. We do love the food court at POR, but honestly that's where it ended. So, long story short, I understand your dilemma and I would've made the switch to Poly too. It's a vacation and you need to be where you love. I have all kinds of ways to convince myself it's worth the extra money, lol. Have fun!

SOmeday, maybe you can do that split stay and try a moderate. But for now, you are staying at the POLY!!!!! Yay!

I would keep POFQ so I could use the money for a 2nd vacation trip . But that is why we stay at POFQ rather than YC. So if work and life allow we take a seperate trip elsewhere the same year. We love WDW but also love other places too

Here's where I need some sense knocked into me...We were booked at CSR for Christmas this year, but I decided to cancel and book the FQ for late May/early June. My heart is saying, change our resort to the Poly, which will be well over $2,000.00 more. I know that is crazy, but it is my favorite resort, and I just love it. My brain is telling me to keep the FQ, and use that extra $ for other things. I want to be content with the FQ... I have always wanted to try it, but end up going deluxe. Talk me into keeping the FQ!

I did get a quote for the magical deal for the Poly June 2017 and it was about 25% off. I'm like you once you start going deluxe your hooked. We really want to stay at the Poly next summer also, still looking for a good discount.

We did split with POR and Poly once. While it was a beautiful resort, I was counting hours too until we reached the Poly. Once there my DS looked at me and said, "Now the real vacation begins!"

Yes, you may save some money but it is a once a year or maybe more trip to Disney. STay where you want to stay as long as you are able.

Definitely not beyond our means, if it were, I wouldn't put a financial strain on my family. We set aside a good chunk of change each year for the Mouse

If you can afford it do it. You work very hard to get that money so spend it on a luxury hotel if you wish. Or do two massive vacations a year! I do not see any problem with either option .

Poly is my all time favorite resort as well, I have stayed at BW, BC, CR, GF, and Kidani and still love Poly as my number 1.

AKL is my second favorite! My husband and I stayed at the BC last year for F&W and it is a lovely resort as well. It has been a while since I have stayed at the Grand, CR, or the BWI....I keep finding my way back to the Polynesian
