We have an 8:45 ADR for BOG on a Saturday morning (I know, I know...) and so far, the park hours begin at 9:00. I'd like to plan our morning, and I have some questions!

1. What is the absolute earliest they will let us in the park?
2. Will we need to drive our van to the MK parking lot if we want to be there as early as they will let us in? Or is there transport available? Lyft, Uber not a great option since there are six of us, 2 in car seats.
3. If so, is the tram system running that early, and how much time should I allow for getting from the parking lot to security?
Thanks in advance!

They might let you in at 8am for your ADR, but I'm not sure.

What I do know is that you can use the WDW transportation to get to your PPO MK breakfast. Taxis, etc can't drop off by the MK gates, but Disney boats & buses can.

If you'd rather drive, that might be fastest coming from Fort Wilderness. Yes, the monorails will be running that early.

I think the earliest they are supposed to let you in is 30 minutes prior to your reservation. They may not be that picky though depending on the day. It may be more of a factor of what is the "Earliest" reservation of the day too. For example if your 8:45 AM is the earliest one of they day, they may not even try and let anyone in until, let's say 8:15 but if the earliest reservation is 7:30, they may let you in earlier then 8:00AM.

8AM may be a good target to work for. You should have no issues getting there if you drive. I typically plan on leaving the camp ground (when I drive) about an hour in advance of when I want to be there (this is usually a fairly comfortable estimate). So if you plan on being there at 8 AM then I would leave the campground (LEAVE, not be loading up) at 7AM

I'm guessing you are staying at Fort Wilderness. If you are, take a bus to the boat dock and get on the resort boat that starts running around 6:30-6:45. From the Contemporary, it's about a 10 min walk to the front of Magic Kingdom. We've done it numerous times as recently as last weekend and you get to the MK as early as you want to be. I would give it about 45 min from leaving the site to being at the gates give or take a bit based on bus and boat waiting times. To get there by 8am, I would be at the boat dock at 7:30. The boat from FW drops off at the BEST location of all the transport to MK.

We drive all over WDW but will only take the boat to MK from the Fort. If you drive, you have to park, walk or tram to the Transportation Center, and then monorail or ferry to the gates. I would still give it at least 45 min to the front gate.

The MK starts letting in all early adrs at 745. Get in the line that starts forming on the left. Someone will scan your magic band. Try to get to the boat dock by 7 am and take the resort launch to the contemporary. You can either walk through the contemporary or go right and around the building. Then follow the sidewalk to MK. It's marked with a sign to direct you.

The internal busses will be running. I'm not sure on their exact start time but it's early.

ETA: By early adrs I mean those between 8 and 9 when the park opens at 9.

The boat to Magic Kingdom would be a better choice then the boat to the Comtemporary Resort (unless they arrived just in time to watch the MK-bound boat sail away).

I am given to believe the boat to MK does not start running early enough to get there at 7:45 as we wish to do?

The MK boat will start at 830 for a 9 opening. Take the resort boat. :boat:

The MK boat operating schedule begins 30 minutes before park opening or 30 minutes before extra magic hours on the mornings they have those.
