I know there must be info. out there on the WL concierge but I cannot find it all in 1 place...Has anyone stayed there lately? Right now I am booked for next Dec. in a reg. room but with the dining plan. I am trying to decide if I would rather do concierge. Yes, I have stayed concierge before--at the yacht club. What are the food offerings? Rooms the same as other rooms? What are the chances that I might be offered an upgrade (for $$) to go concierge if I checked in with my regular reservation? thanks!! a

As far as the food they offered, it was ok. We stayed there for our honeymoon in 2003. In the morning it was the normal stuff, danish, bagels, cereal, muffins, etc. In the afternoon for snacks they normally left out pretzels, gummy worms, crackers, etc. Lunch we weren't really there that much, I believe they had those crustables, peanut butter and jelly. My hubby loved it at night with the desserts and cordials. They had every dessert liqour you could think of.

The room wasn't fantastic. It was kind of small to tell you the truth. And...the view was just the tops of a bunch of trees on the side that I was at. The only good thing, one night we caught the MK fireworks (but they were pretty far away).

Does anyone else have more info. on the food that is offered? has it changed since the upgrades to that area? that last posting didn't make it sound like the concierge at WL is all that great. Are the rooms the exact same? is there a better view since you are up higher? I will probably have made all my adr's myself and dont really need help planning but still thought I might like the other benefits...but it would still be more than $100 more per night than what we are paying so I need to understand what comes with it...is there anyone who loved it? why?

We stayed there in early September. We loved it.

Breakfast: Yogurt, mini crossaints, danish, blueberry muffins, chocolate chip muffins. Four types of cereal. Fresh fruit. Juices, milk, coffee, tea.

Snacks: Never made it back in time.

Early dinner: One hot soup (Clam chowder, Italian Wedding, Chicken & Rice), one hot meal. (Roast pork with onions & apples, Beef Stroganoff, etc), PBJ for the children, crackers & cheese, a roasted red pepper dip w/ bread, fruit, juices, milk, beer, wine, soda.

After dinner: Cordials (Irish Cream, Cognac, Kaluha & more), wine, three different types of cookies, a yummy warm berry dish.

The concierge staff was wonderful. We really wanted for nothing, and anything we needed they took care of immediately.

The rooms weren't any different than the other floors, and we have only stayed in the concierge level.

But, WE LOVED IT!!!!!!

I can't talk you into it. If the extra $100 a night means anything at all to you, skip it. Buy a few snacks and a bottle of wine and save yourself the cash!

We JUST stayed in WL concierge for our honeymoon 3 weeks ago! It was good, I don't think I'd spend the extra money again for concierge though, but had to do it once! The rooms were nice. The food offered was alot actually. In the morning: bagels pastries croissants, coffee, OJ.
Snacks: cookies, brownies, soda, peanuts
Dinners: cheese wine veggies/dip shredded beef saute'd chicken, soup

It was an expeierce that I'm glad I did once. But like I said it was alot of moolah and probbaly would never do it again. I have pictures, that I can send to whoever wants to see the lounge. Just let me know.

actually the rooms aren't exactly the same as regular....the regular rooms have better balconies than concierge....the concierge balconies, because of the design of the building, have a more difficult view.....you have to be standing to see out of them...
other than that, the rooms are the same..

i think there are deluxe rooms that are larger (these rooms are also available non-concierge)...i think there are 2 on the concierge level....but they cost a lot more than the regular concierge rooms..
and finally there are the yellowstone and yosemite suites...but those cost a LOT more than the regular concierge rooms....we've stayed in Yosemite, which has an unbelievable wrap around balcony and really neat design inside, but it's something like $750/night and has only one bedroom...a bit steep...

and now for why i do like WL conciege....the CMs are very nice...the new concierge lounge is very nice....and the food selection is quite good...

having said that, i was perfectly happy staying regular in August when it was just my daughter and me....so....

for what it's worth...

only 5 days left until we leave for WLC!!! :cheer2:

If you have the dining plan- will it really make sense to pay extra to stay in the concierge level?? The dining plan is a lot of food each day.
