Talk about your hate speach

I usually don't start political/debate threads, mostly because I don't have the time to keep up with the thread, but I'm appalled at what I just read and had to share it. We've all heard what Kramer said during a stand up routine, well, have you heard what Dr. Kamau Kambon said at Howard University on October 14th? If not, I'll share. The following is are some closing remarks (I put the emphasis in, but it is in the original text):
And then finally I want to say that we need one idea, and we're not thinking about a solution to the problem. We're thinking about all these other things, but we're not dealing with a solution to the problem. And we have to start to think about a solution to the problem so that these young brothers and sisters who are here now, who are 15, 16, or 17, are not here 25 years later talking about these same problems.

Now how do I know that the white people know that we are going to come up with a solution to the problem? I know it because they have retina scans, they have what they call racial profiling, DNA banks, and they’re monitoring our people to try to prevent the one person from coming up with the one idea. And the one idea is, how we are going to exterminate white people because that in my estimation is the only conclusion I have come to. We have to exterminate white people off the face of the planet to solve this problem. Now I don’t care whether you clap or not, but I’m saying to you that we need to solve this problem because they are going to kill us. And I will leave on that. So we just have to just set up our own system and stop playing and get very serious and not be diverted from coming up with a solution to the problem and the problem on the planet is white people.
I got this quote from FrontPageMagazine.com, but you can also find it on:
CarolinaJournal Online
WorldNetDaily

I don't know what to say except that, I think this guy needs some help.

Please tell me that he was doing an Eddie Murphy "get me a rife and kill all the whitey's I see" routine.

He keeps saying "the problem". What's the problem?

It was a full moon last night. Or is it something in the water or food supply? :confused3

That's just it, I don't know what the problem is. The only way we, as a nation, can ever get past this whole issue of racism is to have an open and honest discussion to find out what the problems are. All this guy seems to care about is getting rid of white people.

I hope so, but somehow I doubt it.

He clearly has lost his human mind if that is an accurate quote and certainly won't be invited back to Howard University. This African-American and I am sure everyone else that I know certainly don't even remotely agree with the extremist agenda put forth in that quote. I am positive that Howard University was unaware that he would lose his mind on their campus and I am sure they are outraged and aghast at the negative light his speech has placed them in.

I will just have to hope that this is some sort of misquote or entirely untrue. Hate is stupid, evil and dangerous as history has proven no matter who is spewing it.

There was plenty of outrage about Kramer.

Where is their outrage, then? :confused3

He sounds like Hitler with his "solution" to the Jewish question. His comments are disgusting and if the audience didn't toss him off the stage (or at least walk out en masse), then shame on them. But, this is America, and he has the right to say what he wants. I've said before that I think people who harbor racism should just say so out loud. It's much better when everyone knows where everyone stands, IMO.

I don't know why there isn't as much outrage when the racist is black.

For me, I don't so much care when someone doesn't like me because I'm white, or because I'm Catholic. Seriously, I just figure, "hoop them."

If a patient is a racist, I'll try to find them a black nurse if I can, but if I can't...well, they'll just have to deal with it. Other than that, the racists can all take a flying leap for all I care.

Kramer was all over the news, internet and papers.

This is the first time I'm hearing this story and it's on a discussion board.

I think it's disgusting but clearly not going to get the same outrage unless it gets the same coverage.

I'm surprised I haven't seen this on the news yet.

Hannity and Colmes showed a clip. I'm not sure if they've had the segment yet.

So--Did anybody clap?

Honestly, I am not offended. Dr. Kamau Kambon doesn't like white people. It is his problem. He seems insane :confused3

I am very excited for the next generation  I am very hopeful there will be little to no racism. And those who are racist will hopefully be looked at like crazy people

Hey-Fitswimmer! I so badly want to type the lyrics to that Garrett Morris (did Eddie do it too?) skit/song, but I know it will get me into some hot water :stir: :rotfl: I can't stop humming it now :rotfl: Back when SNL was funny!

Kramer's outburst received a lot of media exposure primarily because of his celebrity status. America is a celebrity obsessed nation and we like to see the rise and fall of the famous.

True, but I would think an idiot doing this at a comedy club wouldn't be as dangerous as an idiot doing this at a college campus, where his speach would be given some merit.

What took so long for this to start making it's way around-getting on the net and a piece on H&C? The dates on what I read are Oct...2005.

You're right-it was Garrett Morris. I've been humming it ever since I read the article so at least I'm not alone! I was a little concerned about typing it too, worried I'd start a riot from people too young to remember. I read that they released a DVD of the Good Old SNL-I might have to part with some cash for that.

Because Hannity is running out of things to talk about. The election didn't go his way, his own party is saying the war is a disaster, and he needs something to fire up the adoring faithful.
