Your toes look adorable!

Your EPCOT plans look great! I'm not a very adventurous eater (well, not when it comes to MY dish -- but will happily sample a bite from someone else's plate) ... but I have found that most of the places in WSC are pretty tame. And if it's the kids you are worried about, they all have very kid-friendly menus (and even the adults can order off it). My mom's friend ordered from the kid's menu at Akershus in 2009. She got the grilled chicken and some sides. I don't recall what they charged her, but they made it into an "adult" meal.

Regardless, anxious to hear how your day plays out!!!

As the title of this post says "We are HOT!!" and I don't mean in a good looking way. Our house's a/c broke late this afternoon and we are smothering in here!!! <-----That's the best sweaty smilie I could come up with.

I know some people don't use a/c in their homes but around here it's a must. Today we hit 95 outside and right now at 11 p.m. our house is 86 inside. YIKES!!!!

Since my sewing room is not well ventilated normally and is as hot as hades tonight, I'm afraid I will not be finishing the Epcot shirts. However, that will just give me something to do for the next trip!

Also, since I'm done packing pretty much everything, if our air does not begin working before tomorrow night, I will be starting this vacation early!!! We will just go to stay at my in-laws which is closer to the airport anyways!

(my DH just tried to squeeze into the fridge for cool air!!! ROFL....)

I'll keep you posted!!! Hope you all have a great day tomorrow!

Oh, no! I am so sorry. I'm sure that is like our heat not working in the winter here in the north. I hope everything goes smoothly, and the ac is fixed when you get home.

The wall is empty (no more Mickeys)....the bags are packed......my stomach is in knots......the kids and puppy are chasing each other ALL over the house with excitement.....WE LEAVE TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



I'm a little bit excited!!!

The landlord was able to get our a/c fixed before 10 a.m. yesterday morning so we decided to stay here last night since DH had one last appointment early this morning. However, he is back and we could technically leave at any time. (I really need to go get dishes done and housekeeper's notes written so we can go.)

On another note, I tried to create our Epcot shirts but I think I was rushing them too much and the Epcot ball didn't look right so I quit stressing about it and we just threw in two other shirts in the suitcase. My quilting was more squares and not diamonds. I've got to figure that out.

Another completely different note, I'm on book 4 of Harry Potter and can't seem to put it down. I'm addicted!!!!! Oh wow are they good!

Well I REALLY need to get to those dishes!! If I get a chance, I'l check in from time to time while we are there but no promises!!!

We have arrived in New Orleans. We had a VERY interesting dinner.... and we are hoping beyond hope that NO ONE gets sick from it. Yes it was that bad. I'll explain more later in my TR.

Welcome Alysa!!! Glad to have you join us!! I don't have a serger but I just used my regular sewing machine for the shirts. I put it on the zig zag stitch and set my "mover" dial to 1.5 so that it barely pulled the shirts at all. I hope I explained it well enough.

Our shuttle will leave for the airport at 9 a.m. and we are sooooo ready to be there!! Weather looks like it will be yucky at least for a while but we will survive!

We are having a great time but the weather isn't really cooperating with us. Tonight the area around the start of Peoplemover and Buzz was flooded. Lightning was hitting all around (and maybe in) the park. It was so close!!! We have been here three days and have had three severe thunderstorms.

Other than the weather, we are really enjoying ourselves!!!

I'm sorry the weather is not very nice. But on the plus side, I bet the crowds are low, as I'm sure not everyone is as brave as you all. We went once and hit Hurricane Gordon, who hit the 1st full day we were there, stuck around for a few days, got as far as the gulf coast & turned around and hit us again. I think we got 2 nice days that entire vacation. BUT we hit all the rides we wanted. No crowds. And the little ones had a blast jumping in puddles.
Sounds like perhaps none of you got sick from that bad meal before you left...?

Whew what is up with the Dis this morning???? Any one else having trouble? All of my smilies look like broken links and the "bar" at the top now takes up a full page of scrolling. Geez....oh look a smilie I can see...how appropriate....

Anyways, I typed up our little intro Monday night and my DS10 unplugged my laptop for dinner before I could save so I lost it all. (I burnt my laptop battery on this trip after shocking the )@(#*)(#@*$ out of myself with it.) I didn't get a chance to retype it until this morning.
