Can I fill my refillable mug with beverage and ice before I go to a park for the day? Is it allowed in the park with a beverage in it?

ok thanks. I wanted to put iced tea in it. I see there are stainless mugs as well.

We like taking our's into the park, so if we get a soda from QS, we can pour any leftovers into the mug. Easier to carry the mug with a closed lid that we can drink from vs a paper cup.

Very easy to lose unless you have a backpack for when the mug is empty which will likely be fast. If you do lose it stop by GS in the park they have every color others have lost just keep your receipt for reactivation if needed. Yes from experience of doing exactly this once………

Maybe I will just take one of the mugs.

I am taking a backpack with some other necessities. rain poncho, etc. I have a loop that I can hook the mug on if needed.

Sure can. As an added bonus you can stop into the food court as soon as you get back to your resort to refill the mug. Years ago we’d leave the mugs in the room. We’d have to trek to our room and then back to the food court
good idea! I am taking a backpack. so I will have our rain jackets etc. I think I can take the mugs.

We often bring our mugs to the park because we're having a drink on the way to the park. Then we just wash them out and stick them in our backpack until we return to the resort so they're handy for when we stop back at the drink machine before going to the room.

I've always wished they would have a system in the parks similar to popcorn refills. Something like mugs are refillable for free at the resorts and you can get a drink refill in the park for $1-2 (allowing free refills in the parks too would be better, but who are we kidding? That's not going to happen).

They tested this at Animal Kingdom, I think I still have the mug. You bought the mug and refills were about $2. It didn’t last long. My guess is it resulted in lost revenue.

To me, this is virtually the one advantage to having an ECV at WDW-the cup holder! Every morning I stop by the refill station and fill my mug with ice and a beverage. And I guess I don't have a "this person likes alcoholic beverages" look-not once have I been asked by security or any CM whether I'm sipping alcohol.

We bring the mug for DS in empty with us as the beverage would be warm by the time DS is thirsty. We bring it to Table Service restaurants at the resorts as well.

We will dump the beverage into the mug as DS can not deal with paper straws. Even at Wine Bar George where they have the good bamboo ones. This also helps cut down on spills as well.

We bought a Mickey Mouse water bottle that is metal and will keep your drinks cold. We bought ours at the store at POR-Riverside and it fits very easily in our backpacks. Amazon has many to choose from also.

I often fill up my cup before getting on the bus or Skyliner and take it with me for the day. I have a carabiner on my backpack. When I've finished the drink, I rinse it out at a sink in one of the bathrooms and then pop it on the backpack and it's good to go.

I have zero insider information on this but that would be my guess, too. Fountain drinks are very profitable.

We bring ours in as well! Even when I’m wearing a fanny pack. I unclip the strap and loop the handles through. When empty, the mugs are light. I like to put the free ice waters in them, or split a large soda between the cups.

I guess I must be a really heavy drinker. I think one time I tried filling up and taking my mug, but I finished the drink before we even got off the bus and then I had an empty mug to carry around.
