Maybe I will just take one of the mugs.We like taking our's into the park, so if we get a soda from QS, we can pour any leftovers into the mug. Easier to carry the mug with a closed lid that we can drink from vs a paper cup.
I am taking a backpack with some other necessities. rain poncho, etc. I have a loop that I can hook the mug on if needed.Very easy to lose unless you have a backpack for when the mug is empty which will likely be fast. If you do lose it stop by GS in the park they have every color others have lost just keep your receipt for reactivation if needed. Yes from experience of doing exactly this once………
Even years we don't buy a mug, we bring an old mug just to fill up with something from our room to drink along the way. Not thirsty leaving room but by the time you do the walking to get into a park, now your thirsty.Maybe I will just take one of the mugs.
good idea! I am taking a backpack. so I will have our rain jackets etc. I think I can take the mugs.Sure can. As an added bonus you can stop into the food court as soon as you get back to your resort to refill the mug. Years ago we’d leave the mugs in the room. We’d have to trek to our room and then back to the food court
They tested this at Animal Kingdom, I think I still have the mug. You bought the mug and refills were about $2. It didn’t last long. My guess is it resulted in lost revenue.I've always wished they would have a system in the parks similar to popcorn refills. Something like mugs are refillable for free at the resorts and you can get a drink refill in the park for $1-2 (allowing free refills in the parks too would be better, but who are we kidding? That's not going to happen).
To me, this is virtually the one advantage to having an ECV at WDW-the cup holder! Every morning I stop by the refill station and fill my mug with ice and a beverage. And I guess I don't have a "this person likes alcoholic beverages" look-not once have I been asked by security or any CM whether I'm sipping alcohol. Can I fill my refillable mug with beverage and ice before I go to a park for the day? Is it allowed in the park with a beverage in it?
I have zero insider information on this but that would be my guess, too. Fountain drinks are very profitable. They tested this at Animal Kingdom, I think I still have the mug. You bought the mug and refills were about $2. It didn’t last long. My guess is it resulted in lost revenue.
