taking prayer request to place under Holy Icon

I am visiting a Virgin Mary painting that a few times has wept human tears. Also, at that sight, there have been several sightings of the Virgin Mary. I am praying infront of her for my health and academic relief and endeavors. This has been a sight of many miraculous healings. I don't look for a miracle to happen. hHwever, when I approach this site I feel safe, loved and protected. I asked some friends to go but no one wants to go with me. Oh well, are there any prayer requests that anyone wants me to write down and put in a basket under the icon? I do love my Lady with all my heart, I am not posting to boast...rather to share my joy that i once again get to pilgrim to this wonderful place. God does no my sins, I shall ask for forgiveness. What a wonderful God we have.

I was wondering if there are any prayer requests you would like me to write down and place under the icon of "Our Lady of Perpetual Help" when I visit there.

Okay - normally this isn't something I would do, but you offered so....

I have a very dear friend who has been battling cancer for over six years now.. One of her most recent chemos permanently damaged her heart and they just learned the other day that the cancer is growing in her stomach at a pretty fast pace (the original site of the cancer was ovarian - way back when).. Next week she will be starting a different kind of chemo 3 days a week and then a shot on the 4th day.. We are all very fearful that this is the beginning of the end..

She is the kindest, sweetest, most wonderful woman I have ever met in my entire life.. She and her husband would do absolutely ANYTHING to help another person in need.. She is devoutely religious and attends church every single day..

I'm not sure what to ask for - a cure - or just a peaceful resolution to this long drawn out ordeal she has had to deal with for so long now.. When I pray for things, I have a tendency to just turn it over to God and let Him decide what the outcome should be..

Her name is Diane and I would appreciate it if you would just make a request for God's will to be done..

My mom is the most wonderful woman I've ever met and means the world to me and the rest of my family. She has been battling cancer for years. It first started with breast cancer and then she developed angiosarcoma, a very rare cancer of the blood vessels, most likely caused by the radiation used to treat the breast cancer. There is no cure or known effective treatment for her cancer and the chance of survival is very low (in the single digits % wise). She is trying high doses of experimental drugs but they make her very sick and tired. My father is disabled but caring for my mom the best he can. Since neither of them can work they get government assistance which totals about $900 a month and that makes it very hard to live on. Both of my parents have had hard lives and it seems like time and time again bad things happen to them. I'd like to place a prayer request that their health and financial situation improves.

For Katholyn's (Nativetxn) husband Wilgus. Actually for both of them. I don't know how long you have been around the DIS but Katholyn is an amazing lady and is such a wonderful friend and lends support to all in need. She has a special place in my heart. Feel free to read her thread for more details. I would greatly appreciate it if you would include them.

I could use some prayers too in order to get out of the funk I am back in over loosing my Junior. This week I have longed to touch him so bad. I want to be able to reach over and feel him sleeping beside of me at night. I just want to touch his skin or hear him talk to me. I thought I was improving but I slid back down again. I know it takes time to grieve and heal but I want the pain and longings for him to go away. More than anything I want him back. At this point I can't accept the fact that he is dead. It must be a very cruel joke.

Please pray for my boys Nicholas & Michael. They are both severely ADHD & Michael is also on the autistic spectrum. They both struggle with simple daily activities. Everything is so hard for them. They both have so many issues with school too. (I spent 2 hours in the Assist Principal's office today over my oldest DS.) Please pray for them both to find some peace in their disorders & be able to live a normal life. I'm going to be selfish & ask you to pray for me & my DH (Rose & Mike) too since we sometimes think we can't cope anymore with the turmoil in our home due to the ADHD symptoms.

Thank you so much for your offer. Once I went to someone's home who claimed they had a painting of the Virgin Mary that was crying. It was a very poor family in a very modest home who were blessed with Her presence. As I walked up to the portrait, I saw the tears flow & I smelled roses! The family put cotton balls at the bottom of the portrait to absorb the tears & they would wrap each one in foil & give them to whomever wanted one. They would NOT accept any donations whatsoever either.

I speak to Her often. I feel that She being a Mother & Wife can relate to my requests & prayers since She must have lived through some of the same stuff I find very challenging!

I have a Very Big request.My DCousin is 39 and was diagnosed with lung cancer last month.He has since became very very sick.They said he only weighs 80 pounds and is not expected to last very long.I do believe in miracles and think that things can be OK,but if God is truly ready for him I just hope it is easy for him and he does not suffer.So I would love for you to do that.That is so Awesome of you to offer.

I have a special request for my brother Brendan.

He recently fell 30 feet off a roof and has catastrophic injuries from it. He's already had two surgeries and has at least two more to go. Please pray that the swelling in his feet goes down in the next few days so they can operate on them, otherwise it will be too late to repair them properly. Also prayers that he has no further complications like the ones he had after the first surgery.

Also a prayer for my son that she's had so many prayer for before--I'm sure she knows exactly what he needs.

My nephew has Hirschsrung's Disease. It wasn't caught while he was an infant. In his toddler years he had a colostomy done and they were hoping to reattach everything and he would be ok. Well 2 years later he is still having problems and they are not too sure of what the future will be. Any prayers for his recovery would be great.

first of all, i'd like to say thank you for doing this *hugs* and i ask that you please pray for my DH....he took a physical (and passed) for his dream job almost 16 months ago and we know his name is still in the hiring database at this company, but they haven't called yet (it's not at all unusual for them to make prospective employees wait 18 months or more to start work), and i'm not sure how much longer my DH can endure the BS at his present job. he's a wonderful husband and father and even though we couldn't afford it (and still can't), he insisted i quit my former job to stay home w/ our DD when she was 2. i pray each day God will see fit to let this company call him to work as soon as possible, so that he doesn't have to endure the frustration of his current job or our fluctuating financial situation any longer. thank you so much again, God Bless You.
