Taking photos inside some rides

Yes, I forget about them, too. My two PnS cameras didn't have them, and my DSLR only uses focus assist when the flash is up, because it strobes the flash for a moment rather than using a red light. I assume most cameras can turn it off. I have a Canon SD600 in front of me that has one but I'm too lazy to turn it on and look; I assume it can be turned off.

Although, that light is far less annoying than the previously-mentioned things. Red lights are pretty easy on the eyes.
 
But why can you take pictures at FotLK and not a the Nemo show? They say that it is for the safety of the performers, but I don't understand the difference.

A flash at the Nemo show might attract sharks and put the performer's lives in danger.
