Well folks, we've officially met the last day of our trip
Mon May 9th!

Our plans for today include trying to squeeze as much time & magic out of the few hours left at Disney that we have
We'll get up bright and early to pack & completely clean the room, pick up any last munchies we want from the food court, and then head over to:

Now, I originally had this in the back of my mind thoughout the whole planning, as I LOVE Stitch, he is, by far, my favorite disney character, I was just hoping that we'd be seeing him in the park, and if we didn't, we could try to get an ADR late
THEN, when we were talking about character breakfasts, VB asked if there was one with Stitch, and if we could PLEASE do it. THUS, the breakfast at Ohana's was booked!!

After our lovely feast with our friends, we will be heading back to Pop for one last time to check out, get back on that ME before heading to the airport and getting on the plane.

Well, I've been a lover of Disney for as long as I can remember, although, I was never one to LOVE princesses I loved Lion King, Lady & Tramp, etc. I like the princesses, just not their "classic" movies, such as Cinderella, Snow White & Sleeping Beauty. However, that wasn't to stop me from loving DisneyLand!/World.

I've never been to the World before, and am thus, VERY excited to go in May, and again next year...and in 2013! However, when I was 7 years old, over spring break (this was in 97) my mom took me to Disneyland. Now that I'm in the process of planning my own trip, I realize how much that really does mean to me, she was a single mom, working part time, and somehow managed to get us there.

We stayed offiste at a little hotel w/ a resturant that served "FUN" pancakes, because they couldn't call them Mickey because they weren't a Disney owned place.

I don't remember a lot, we met some characters, saw some shows & parades (I LOVED the Lion King Parade, even got pulled up to play an instrument & dance once!) And Loved the Fantasmic show they had at the time. We had a breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen one morning, that was totallty aweomse

Blue dress!!!! Awesome. That's a really good Aurora...like I mean I actually believe that that is Aurora. Some of the face characters don't look like how I feel the charcter should really look like. Like that Belle for example. She has more of a Wendi face to me. But whatev.

I know right?! BOTH the Aurora's I met on that trip were in the blue dress...I like it way better! And she definitely is a good Aurora, so pretty!

Lion king is def a fave of mine! SO excited that its coming out on dvd soon!

And I KNOW RIGHT?!? The pants were also those snazzy zip off to shorts ones

My mom made a lot of my clothes when I was that age...those pants included...good times!

We are officially into the double digets until we get to WDW!!!

Now, just figured I'd throw in a couple of "what's going on in life right now"

SO: Emily facebooked me today, saying that she's mailing me cheques tmr, and it's paying off her entire trip & flights! Then I just need payments from VB, Dionne & myself (ugh) and we'll be GOLDEN.

I'm officially (as of today) going on a new health kick, as the attempt at one earlier failed horribly. Thus, I am doing a "no-processed sugar, no alcohol, and hitting the gym 3-5 times per week" starting today!!
Part of this is strongly related to:

DANCE! A huge love of mine, and I am starting up ballroom dancing this month, and planning to keep with it until I'm competing (and do that as fast as possible) Should be good!

Monday night was our company Christmas party, we had 2 free drinks at the bar where we work, then had a drive on a party bus to another bar where we had more free drinks! (let me tell you, I've never been on a party bus before, it's INSANE!!) Here's a pic of VB & I (&others) doing the "oh-so-classic duck face!"

Classy.

Today, I slept yesterday off while on the boards, and watched a couple of movies:

I then decided to play one of my Christmas presents:

It was harder than I thought! I actually had to go back and start level 2 over again, ahah, but I love Tigger, so it's pretty decent!

Well, I definitely want it to be May right now!!

However, if that was the case, I would end up being ridiculously BROKE! I still have 3 months to save everything up (which at this point is $1200.00) UGH.

(That of course is w/a budget of $270 for food & $300 for shopping/souviners, hopefully it will be enough)

GETTING THERE

5. How do you usually get to to Disney World?:
Flying. Being from Western Canada, it would take FAR too long to get there if we drove.

6. What do you do to pass the time while getting there?:
As I was only 7 last time, I’d say I probably slept, coloured and read some books. Now, I’ll listen to music, watch some tv on the plane, sleep, the regular?

LODGING

8. What is your favorite place you have stayed at and why?
I would love to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge, with a Savanna view! It just looks so gorgeous, and to be able to watch animals while having morning coffee, awesome.



MAGIC KINGDOM (For me, We’re just using the entirety of DL)

10. What is your favorite attraction in the MK?
I’m going to have to say the Swiss Family Treehouse! Haha, I spent a lot of time there, it’s a pretty cool thing for a 7 year old!

11. What is your least favorite attraction in the MK?
The jungle cruise terrified me!


13. What is your favorite place to eat in the MK?
The place that sticks out in my head was a place in Tommorrowland that had the greatest sandwiches ever, my Mom and I ate their a lot!

28. Which water parks have you been to and which one was your favorite?
As I’ve never been to WDW, only DL, I can’t really comment, we stayed offsite in 97,and I don’t even think we had a pool! If we did, I was certainly never in it!

The main parade at DL was the Lion King parade when we went, and it was totally awesome. I also got to dance & play an instrument in it once!

Disney World as an entirety! I’m super excited for everything!!

Belle & Ariel. (And Lady from Lady & the Tramp. Honestly! You could show me a cocker spaniel, tell me it’s her, and I’d just be in love haha!)

Prince Eric…my prince of choice! In live action…Commodore Norrington will always win though! Oh Jack Davenport!

Gaston, Barbossa & Davy Jones, if you’re going to be evil, you best be 100%!

I told Tigger that he was my favourite when I met him, and he “kissed” my head, but it looked like he was trying to eat me in the picture!

Just Disney Land (as it’s the only place I’ve been). Although I would really love to travel to all the Disney parks world wide.

48. Have you ever had to explain your love for Disney to someone who just didn't "get" it?
Surprisingly, no. My love of Harry Potter…yes

49. Blasphemous I know, but where is your favorite place to travel outside of Disney?
“The Lake” kinda thing, you know, the cabin that someone owns out in the woods on a lake. I love the serenity and quietness of it.

Which Disney character reminds you of you?When I was younger, I would have said Belle, because I read all the time, now, I’d say Kiara from Lion King 2 (yes, I’m going there) or possibly Angel from Lady & the Tramp 2 (what?! They were both good sequels!) Because they’re both so out there, fending for themselves & wanting to be free, and Kiara falls for the bad boy. Ha!

Just figured I'd jump on for a quick update on things.

It's starting to look like that roadtrip out to Winnipeg isn't going to happen (which technically is a good thing, because the weather here just turned gross again..ugggh).

That Tigger game I've been playing, WAY harder than you think it would be, when it's made for 5 and up haha

Also, today was my first workout pre-Disney in a while, I did the "Cardio Ballroom w/Julianne Hough" It was pretty decent, worked up a good sweat, will definitely be feeling it in my calves tmr. (Doesn't help that we went dancing after work <- def just like that haha) I would totes recommend it to anyone!!

I have now paid off my entire share of my the trip!!!

Now we wait!

Also, first ballroom class on Tuesday! (at Arthur Murray), and we get a new show for the dinner theatre next week, it's a turn around point!

Lastly!! If anyone is interested, we've arranged a meet on Sat May 7th in WS in Epcot...either France or Italy...

Well, this trip report has been pretty bare!
There just hasn't been a lot of things going on around here, we opened the new show & thats going great, but that's about it.

VB is now officially all paid off for her Disney trip!!

However, the bad news: Dionne is 90% out of the trip
She doesn't think that she will have enough money, and doesn't want to lag us down, so, at this point, she is not going to be coming. It truly does SUCK, and I'm going to see how things end up, but we currently have a 4th spot in our Disney trip! Sharra (who I believe is in one of the earlier pictures, and is supposed to come to WDW in 2012 with me) may end up taking her place!

So, we've got some stuff to figure out, but it'll hopefully all work out

Ufffff!
We've got 2 weeks until our Disney Trip needs to be paid off, and we're still missing part 4/4 of our PEOPLE!
Most of my friends are in school and still have practicums or some sort in the first week of May, and anyone else really doesn't have the money. We're now just waiting for Sharra to find out if she has any exams in that week, and it's driving me nuts a little bit not knowing who's coming with us!

Hello once again!
Well, we're still kind of stuck on finding a fourth person! I am getting really antsy about it, as it's only 1 month and 1 week away now, but I'm sure that someone will pop up and save the day eventually. Now, let's just hope that they have their passport!

Life has been pretty uneventful around here, hence why there hasn't been a lot of updates. In terms of work at the theatre, we've put up 2 understudies in the past 2 weeks! It is some serious craziness! I still think that all the extra rehearsals for the first understudy is what lead to the 2nd cast member going down, as it was an overuse/physical injury that really could have been prevented. But hey, it's a good experience for everyone.

And now, in 1 month, Emily, VB, Me, and 1 more oh so lucky soul will be entering WDW!!

Over the past couple of weeks, I've been desperately searching for someone else to take the 4th spot on the trip, and eventually put it on my facebook status that we were looking for someone, and FINALLY, got someone confirmed and paid for (well, this upcoming Friday he'll pay it off, but it's all the same)

So, now would be the time to introduce Nick:

He works for the same company as VB & I, but over in Edmonton, where I used to work/started with the company. He's a disney lover, pretty sure it's safe to say that! And we're all excited to have him on board and all thrilled to be ONE SINGLE MONTH away from our trip!!!
