Our DS has been begging us to let him take his cousin with us to DLRP in Aug:headache: I have rung Eurostar and DLRP and they can both accomodate him, (costing us an extra £140.00!) but how do I manage with taking him legally? I am sure some of you have done this before so look forward to hearing your advise.

Not sure what you mean about 'taking him legally'?

I assume he'll be going with his parents permission lol, and as long as he has his own passport, there is no problem.

My daughter went with her friend and his parents, no problems whatsoever.

LOL!! Yes, we have their permission, I meant with customs etc.:upsidedow

I don't think the family my daughter was travelling with were asked any questions.

They booked her flight in her name, she had her own passport, and as far as i know there weren't any problems.

I think it's very common for members of different families/friends to travel together for holidays. I know of grandparents who have taken grandchildren on holiday too, again without any problems.

Have fun :flower3:

It wont matter when I took my daughter we had different surnames on our passports (mins in maiden name) so no evidence im her mother. They wont question at all unless he hasnt got a passport

we have taken someone elses child before without any problem, they had their own passport and no questions were asked. Hope they have a fab holiday together :goodvibes

I took my niece with us on one trip to DLRP.
I got a letter from my sister (her mum) giving permission for her to travel with us, just in case. This was never asked for. We flew into CDG, and our passports were scrutinised a bit more than I have experienced before at passport control at CDG, I'm guessing because her surname is different to mine and DDs, but there were no problems :).

Thanks for all the replies, I have booked him in with us now, both boys are ecstatic!! Nephew has never been before so is really excited, makes it a bit more special now:)
