So I have been asking my mom for a few weeks now to celebrate with me (the only daughter) on a trip to the world for her 50th. Her birthday is in April, but we would go in January due to my schedule. Last night, she told me we are going to Disney World! I felt like a little kid. Now this is where I need some help disers. I am in my last year of college and am on a budget. I am lucky enough to have a job that pays well at my age and I have hours. I told her I would pay for our tickets and dining. She wants to pay for the room (wants to do moderate resort). We did Disney twice when I was a kid (3 and 7). I was not a kid who liked to ride rides so I know I held my mom back a bit. The last time she was there was in 1999 and the parks have changed so much! She is excited for the trip BUT she doesn't love Disney! I need to change her mind and make it a very magical trip! Anyone have suggestions on special things to do? Any place for dining? She wants to do Canada for a meal one day because everyone always talks about it. We are going to do deluxe dining. Unfortunately, she is not going to be able to ride all the rides she missed in her younger years because she has some health problems now. She is really excited I think about enjoying this time with me, eating, drinking and taken in the magic. We are going to do CRT for a meal because we never got to do that together when I was a kid (I feel like a kid every time I go into the castle). I am open for any suggestions! I am so excited to take this trip with her but I don't want her to feel when it's over that she still does not like Disney (think it's a money trap)....I want my wedding here one day!
