Taking Little Miss to Meet the Mouse! ~ A May 2015 PTR ~ Trip Report Link Posted!!

Love the shirts! I have had a problem buying Disney clothes too, I am embarrassed to say how much I have spent at the Disneystore.com. Can't wait to see complete outfits.

I almost have all the outfits mapped out.

Getting Crafty- Bowpalooza!

So after being inspired by the many creative bows I’ve seen on etsy and Pinterest I decided to try to find a way to make my own. What I have discovered is that I apparently have an, until now, unknown talent for making them. I have since gone crazy making them and am now seriously considering selling them. {Note: I have many supplies left over from making these, if any of you are interested in any of the bows PM me and we can see about me making some for you.}


Here are the bows that I have ended up making for the trip:

The two matching bows are for Little Miss the one that is slightly different is for me to wear. These are for our dinner at 1900 Park Fare.

These are for our dinner at Hoop De Doo Revue.

Little Miss and I will share these Olaf bows. She'll wear them with the Olaf shirt on Mother’s day and then I’ll where one on the day I wear the Olaf shirt I found at Torrid.

After seeing a few bows inspired by the Main Street Electrical Parade that actually lit up or glowed I got inspired to do this one. While it neither glows nor lights up, the bright colors and sparkles should be fun. I plan on wearing this one on Mother’s day since we plan to stay late that night enjoying the night time entertainment.

Again with these, the two matching smaller bows are for Little Miss, and the slightly bigger one is mine. If you couldn’t guess these are for our Animal Kingdom day. I think these turned out to be a favorite of the ones I have done so far.

These are to go with her etsy outfit. They are a bit more subdued because she will also have Minnie ears on.



I would show you pictures of Little Miss trying these bows on, but she is so over the moon excited about them that she won’t stand still long enough to even get a burst shot of them. She practically hangs off me as I work thanking me after each new bow is made. Though, if I’m being truthful here, I think I am having just as much fun making them! I have also made a few others for Christmas and 4th of July and Easter. I also plan on making a set of bows to match her flower girl dress once I consult the bride on what she thinks. I debated making a Snow White set but seeing as that would require me to get yet more ribbon I think I am going to cut myself off. The Outfits I have left without bows can be supplemented by plain bows we already have.


Now if I could only sell a few to offset the cost of materials!​

I love the bows!!! I used to make bows for my DD and my sister Shayda, but they don't like wearing them very much anymore. I may have to get the supplies out and make a couple for this trip after seeing yours!

I LOVE the bows! What a great job you did! I need to find out if Zoe will wear a bow. If she does, I may pm you about a Cinderella bow (your 1900 Park Fare) ones. We have a CRT ADR, and she will be wearing a Cinderella dress for the occasion that these would go great with.

They go perfect with a Cinderella dress! Its what I designed them to go with! You will just have to clarify if you want the style I made for Little Miss or the style I made Mine.

I had big fun with the bows. I'm still making some actually just none for the trip. I may share later if I can't help myself. And I think Little Miss is pretty stinkin cute myself. Though I'm a bit biased!

I just looked at your Fastpass booking for AK and see you have Kilimanjaro safari and Kali rapids!...I thought fastpass was not available for these according to the Disney site under attraction and filter by fastpass. could you please let me know as this might change my choices when I book them in a few weeks. Do you know if the Disney site has other attractions not showing under fastpass?

Hopefully you can start selling a few to offset the cost so you can get more materials to make more.

I'm glad that she's so excited about them though. We can rarely ever get DD to wear anything in her hair. The night we got her to wear a tiara for dinner at CRT was the longest we've ever managed to get her to keep a bow, tiara or anything on her head.

First off, I think you are just joining in so in that case....HI there! Thanks for Joining in!

As for fastpasses, if you haven't done it yet I highly suggest checking out THIS THREAD. Its the go to source for all things fastpass related and where I got most of my info ahead of FastPass day.
But yes, To my knowledge both Safari and Kali have always had fastpass. Even before FP+ came into play.

Little Miss has always been good about wearing bows. As a matter of fact She just fell asleep during a screaming temper tantrum because I took some out of her hair for nap time. ( :rollseyes: Two year olds)

I decided long ago God made me to be a Mommy to girls. I have so much fun.

Cute bows! I really love the Cinderella ones.

That silver ribbon is a pain to work with (LITERALLY!) though. It's shear and the glue seeps through and it took a few tries to get to a point where I wasn't burning myself with it constantly.

Little Miss can't quite brag yet, but that look of happiness and wonder as she watches me make them for her I think may just be my favorite part.
