Taking hot food through TSA?

I am sure this is a no-go but anyone had any experience taking hot food through TSA? We will be in the airport right at dinner time but I would rather bring something with me because I just discovered a Maggiano's gift card, yummy! It would be something like spaghetti. Like I said, I'm sure it's not possible but if anyone has been able to do this it might be worth a try! (btw, do you also think I could take one of those Pyrex containers through? - so I would have someplace to store the food) TIA.

Food is okay from our experiences. I make bagel sandwiches; egg, sausage and cheese, before we leave on our morning flights out of BDL.
Wrapped in aluminum foil and good to go through security. Our carry-on smells like a breakfast sandwich too! Not sure about the Pyrex, but would think it would be okay!

That's what I'm wondering...might forgo the gift card and get panera sandwich/salad instead.

Personally I would save the GC to eat at Maggianos. By the time you get thru TSA it would be lukewarm. I would either get to the airport early enough to eat at a restaurant there or buy a sandwich, salad or individual pizza to eat on the plane. However do keep your fellow plane mates in mind. We sat next to someone coming back to Philadelphia from California who brought out a tuna salad sandwich 2 hours into the flight. Ugh, I like tuna salad but not one who was sitting at room temp for that time. & more

My mom always takes baked chicken on the plane with her and has never had a problem, however, one of TSA jokingly asked her could he have a piece because it smelled so good. LoL
