I'm sure this has been asked and answered multiple times, but I can't figure out how to search for it. I'm used to Disney's fairly lax rules about what you can take into the parks. Is Universal just as lax? Can I take my iced coffee in? Snacks? 🙏

That definitely seems more restrictive. Do they really not allow drinks that aren't "sealed"? Sometimes there is more flexibility than what the rules say. Keep in mind this will be early in the morning, and I like my own coffee that I make with almond milk, etc (I realize I'm being a real princess here). If they're not going to allow it, I'll make do with the coffee shop in the park.

We have taken open bottles of water and open cans of pop an monster in several times with no problem( including today)

Despite what the website says, you can bring in any food/drink you want except for alcohol and things in glass, just like at Disney. I’m a local passholder who nearly always brings lunch and snacks- I can’t afford to buy every time. Just keep in mind that the free lockers are only as tall as the longest end of a credit card, though quite long and deep. However, if you’re packing for a large group, it’d probably be cheaper to pay the $2 per ride for a large locker than to buy food for everyone. If you have a stroller the food bag could stay on that.

The only time they’ve been more restrictive is on grad nights- drinks were questioned due to people sneaking in alcohol I guess.

Sorry I never completed the post last night......I got distracted........You‘re not being a princess.

At certain times they are strict, for example during HHN they don’t let unopened bottles of anything through security.

It‘s never affected us personally as we never take anything into the parks, we buy as we need, but several folks have commented in the past how you most certainly can take items like you mention into the park.

Things like size of coolers they are strict about.
