Taking food into the park!?

I'm hoping to be able to take some snacks into DL for my kids
while we are there, just in a backpack. Do they allow this?
Will they check my bags? Just curious as alot of other places won't allow
it, just water?

Yes, they will allow it. They will check your bags, but we bring in several water bottles, uncrustables, snacks, etc. and have never had a problem.

Your bags will be checked at the Security tables - they are looking for glass bottles, liquor - harmful things.

You CAN take in food and drinks - just don't take in any drinks in glass bottles. We take granola bars, goldfish, dried fruit, jerky, water bottles and sometimes even lunch stuff like sandwiches, chips and fruit or carrots/celery. I know we've bought some bottled pop before and taken it in with us - it's much cheaper to buy at the grocery store or vending machine in the hotel than at the park and the parks only sell coke products, no pepsi.
