Well....title says it all. We are going in nov, and I dont know what footwear my son should take... trainers most comfy... but if it pours down they will get soaked... and then blister hell etc. Welly boots too heavy to walk loads...and again..possible blisters... what do other people do this time of year??

Think I may be OVER planning everything!! hahaha, but dont want sore feet to ruin our 5 days there!pirate:

My 2 wore boots (not wellies) last November. I made sure they took extra socks, in case it was so cold they needed 2 pairs on.

It absolutely tipped down with rain one whole day we were there, the next day was sunny and crisply cold.

DD wore boots or trainers - we made sure we had a spare pair just in case. However we also bought some croc wellies - like wellies but very light like crocs but she ended up not wearing them

Yes i bought croc for my son before... they are light and waterproof.... byt found them a knightmare to get on and off... but good thinking, i forgot about them!!

My dd wore some winter boots, I didnt think they were heavy, I thought it was much to cold for her to wear anything other than those. I got them from next they had leather on the foot part and suede uppers with velcro fastening and lovely fur lining.

yes.. ideally i think thats a good idea.. go for an "ugg" stlye shoe.. then try and waterproof them... ill keep thinking. Just worried about the cold and wet, and walking such a vital part of this holiday! haha
thank you everyone

I would get him walking shoes/boots, they are really comfy and you can get waterproof ones.
