Will i run into any bumps in our 4 day land/ 3 day sea with grand son? we will only have picture id and birth cert. no pass port..
is the pass port a must?
Thank you ºoº

You don't need a passport for him but make sure that you have a signed and notarized statement from the parents stating that you have their permmision to take him out of the country. The signed and notarized statement should also give you full authority to make all decisions for the child's health and well-being during the period of time you will be gone. This is very important--only lifesaving medical treatment can be rendered to a child without parental permission. If there is a minor accident or illness, you do not want the child to have to wait for treatment while you try to track down the parents.

Huck,

The form will come in your docs. I am also taking a grand-daughter. You only need the form if the child is under 18.

The form does come in your cruise docs, but I still typed up another form for the parents to sign and notorize. I may have been being overly cautious.

the form that comes with the doc for under 18 we fill out and have notertized. correct?

We're taking my son's best friend with us on the 7/17/04 western. Besides the DCL supplied form, I plan on also having his mom complete a "Consent for Medical Treatment" form and having a copy of his insurance card. Hopefully we won't need either of these things, but we'll be gone for 17 days (adding on 9 days at WDW after ouir cruise) and I'd rather be safe than sorry. He went with us too VB/WDW last summer and I felt much better having these items with me just in case.
