Taking a taxi to get groceries??

We are staying at Boardwalk Villas from Apr. 23-29 and would like to get groceries. I know all about the delivery services and their fees etc. but we would like to go to Publix or Super Walmart and get them ourselves. Can anyone tell me which grocery store (and which store it is) is the closest, how far away, how to get there and how much the taxi fare would be?? I have been looking everywhere but it becomes to confusing so I thought that I would just ask this straight out.

are you using plane and some type of transportation (besides ME) to get from airport?

No we are using DME from the airport and are staying at POP for 1 night before we move over to Boardwalk. I would rather get groceries from Boardwalk instead of getting them and staying at POP for one night and then having our luggage and groceries sent over to Boardwalk. Thanks

i used a taxi last summer to get from pop century to the oh so expensive goodings - i think it was about 25.00 rt and we then gave a tip too. it was worth it to get the necessities i had forgotten. we actually did two one ways and spent a while at the shopping plaza before heading back to pop.

i have also used a grocery stop when using a limo service and they stopped at publix (think - 2 cases of water and lots of groceries in a limo (seated 8). it worked (the stop was about 30 minutes and included in the price).

this year we are using sunray and got a good rate - they are 90.00 r/t to our hotel with a grocery shop.

another choice is renting a car for a day - it was about 40.00 last time i did that. (national is on site and will pick up at your hotel)
