Taking a Taxi inside WDW

My wife & I are exploring a few dinner choices and we were wondering how easy taking a taxi is inside WDW?

For instance, Contemporary to Wilderness Lodge should just be a few $dollars, right?

While I always see more costly 'private' car services parked in front of hotels, I rarely see taxis.

Any comments would be welcomed.

I cannot comment on the exact route you asked about but we took a taxi from WL to POLY...it was $5 + tip. I would do it again because it really made the travel simple for us to get to the Luau. we only waited a few minutes for the taxi at WL. We didn't take a taxi back because we went on to MK after dinner.

Taxi service within WDW is very easy. There are taxi stands at all of the resorts. At the Deluxe resorts there are usually taxis waiting near the valet station. I figure you can get almost anywhere within WDW for about $25 plus tip. Mears and it's subsidiaries are the only cabs allowed to pick up passengers within WDW. Just to be safe, I would estimate it'll cost about $15 to get from WL to CR (including tip).

This is so helpful! I was considering a taxi to HS & AK from the GF, but now that I see the prices it makes me think we should just stick with the free busses. It's definitely more expensive than I would have thought.

The towncars are only at the Swan & Dolphin; all genuine Disney resorts have taxis available. You may not have noticed them because they generally wait in the parking lot until summoned called by Bell Services.

Disney offers complimentary direct boat service between CR & WL, about every 20 minutes.
