Hello

First time post on this particulat board. I am taking 25 high school students from Texas to Paris March 15-21st. We are taking a small break to go to DLP on March 17th.
So I have some questions from you "regulars",

Online it says that the park closes at 7pm... does everything really shut down then? Do the parades follow closing?

What is the temperature like? Are the lines heated like at WDW?

What are crowds like that week?

Thanks so much for the information!
Vicky

Hi, yes everything does shut down at that time but they do have a show, Candlebration on at 7 when it closes. Disney Village which has shops and eating places is open until midnight

When we went last March it was very busy as it was easter holidays, not sure if its the holidays when your going. The weather was wet and cold.

Hi. The 17th is during our trip too, which we are hoping will be relatively quiet! It's not in the Easter Holidays this year as that falls later. :thumbsup2 Also is a weekday which seems to be better. There are some things happening I think for St Patricks day (probably, fingers crossed, fireworks) and I am not sure if that will make the parks busier, or whether that might affect park closing time - seems to have varied a bit in the past. We are aiming to be flexible, but I suppose that's going to be much easier to do with just us three rather than twenty five!

Good luck with the trip!

Goodness- in all my planning I didnt even realize that the 17th was St Patricks day! HA! Hope to see you at DLP Florimel, I will be the tired and stressed out one with 25 teenagers! ;)

The web says that they light up the castle green! and have some nice green fireworks. My students will be thrilled.

Still wondering if the heating is in full force there though?
Anyone know?

I've never noticed heat in any indoor queue area at DLRP. There is not air conditioning so it will be warmer than outside and sometimes a little steamy if it is raining.

Much/most of Europe doesn't use air conditioning like in America, so it is naturally warmer, and some places are steaming hot no matter what time of year. Department stores, museums, and even metro stations can be extremely warm even when it is cooler outside.

But in March you will find it is about 7-12 degrees on average so not really cold at all.

A lot of the queues seem to be heated especially POTC. If it is very cold head there as it is lovely and warm. Weather could be a hit or miss. I was there in March 5 years ago and we were just in T-shirts but thats not the usual. It should be mild but maybe wet.

Sorry cant help with the questions as never been in March but wanted to say I hope you all have a magical time! :wizard:
