Hello it has been a while since I have posted. I have not been to Disney since 2009?? We (dh and I) are looking at going next fall with some family. My aunt and uncle will be 61 & 57 and my cousins who will be 35, 33 and 31. I don't want to overwhelm them with cost so would Pop Century be a good place to stay?

The only issue we have with any of the value resorts is that they have full size beds, if this is not an issue then yes POP is great. If you want queen beds and little more room then I would try and go up to the Mod level like POFQ.

I would take first timers to a moderate - POFQ or POR. The cost shouldn't be too overwhelming, but the little nuances like queen beds, a more relaxed atmosphere, and shaded seating for bus loading areas will probably make a big difference in their overall perception of Disney. I took first timers to Pop once, but it was a family of 4 with 2 elementary school aged children and we were hardly in the room at all. With older people, I'd bump up to a mod.

I agree with the above. Since you don't have kids with you, sounds like you could possibly have a little more flexibility with your travel dates, and be able to go off-peak times? We've stayed at Coronado Springs off-peak very reasonably. It think the values are great if you have young children, or are theme park commandos who don't spend much time at your resort. But for a more magical, first-time stay that feels more like a vacation, check out the Mods.

I think that POP would be fine - are you plannig for each couple to have a seperate room?

POP would be enjoyable by everyone and it has great theaming

Maybe since you are considering the fall you could try and go during a discount period, either a room discount or package like Free dining, although I know they have been less available this yr. This could make a moderate more affordable, which I agree would be a nicer, more relaxed atmosphere, and queen beds and a little more space in the rooms for adults. We love CSR! You could play around now on the website with dates you might go next yr., as if you were going this fall, just to get an idea of costs for different resorts and with various promotions(I think you meant you were thinking of 2017 when you said next fall). If you were going with a value, I would pick POP. If you aren't doing a package, you could get tickets from UndercoverTourist for a small discount.

Another vote for CSR! with the ages f your group, i think that the amenities and atmosphere would be perfect for you.

Yes I did mean the fall of 2017. Thanks for all the feed back since it will be all adults looking at going in late October, so I will look into the moderates. Thanks for all the feed back
