One of my pet peeves is people who take forever to finish trip reports. They start out posting frequently and just when I get really involved, they seem to drop off the face of the earth. It drives me nuts!

I am now one of those offenders. I am sorry. However, I do have an excuse. A good one? Probably not. But an excuse none the less.

If you recall, on Day 4 at the Magic Kingdom, Buddy and I stopped at the wishing well and dropped pennies in the well and made wishes. Buddy wouldn’t tell me what it was, only that his did come true.

Mine I kept to myself… until now. But first, a little history.

I have been interviewing for new jobs since January of this year. I finally got off my lazy butt and put my resume online and started applying to jobs. Min has been after me for years to look for something different, something that would give me more time with my family. I have been very slow to act. I have had plenty of excuses, but no real good reasons. Finally, this year I began the search.

In March, I found what seemed to be a great fit for me. I loved the company, loved the opportunity, loved the benefits. Everything seemed to fit. The problem? They wanted me to start April 4. “What’s the problem?” you might ask. The problem was that April 4 was Day 3 of my Disney vacation, MGM day. I struggled with the decision, but decided that my time with my family was more important. I would go on vacation. The opportunity seemed to be dead.

So, while I was at WDW, every chance I got to make a wish, every fountain, every star, every place I could, I wished that somehow, someway, this job would work after all. I specifically remember making that wish at the wishing well in the Magic Kingdom with Buddy. When he said his wish came true, well, it gave me hope for mine.

Last week, I got a call. They wanted me to come back and interview again! So I did - 2 full-day interviews. At the conclusion of those interviews I got an offer!!!!!!!!!

The written offer just came FedEx yesterday, and I put my 2 weeks notice in today! MY WISH CAME TRUE!

So, I have been very preoccupied and busy the last couple weeks. I have neglected my Dis friends who have been so kind to get involved in my Disney trip. For that, I am sorry. I want to extend a heartfelt apology. I hate it when people pull that on me, and now I am doing it to everyone else.

Now that the stress of interviewing and getting an offer has passed, I plan on getting back to my trip report. I need to get it done soon, because I start my new job in 2 weeks, and I know that it’s going to be real tough to get it done after I start. So, expect to see days 5, 6, and 7, along with my concluding thoughts, in the next two weeks.

WOW!!

IF only someone would make a wish for us!! Dh is in interviews here too, all looked like a go - green lights... then he called HR, and she let it slip the guy from San Francisco is bringing in someone else to interview!!

So I get excited when others get their notice for an offer!! Maybe ours will come too!!

I am sooooooo sorry for not finishing like I promised. A few days after I accepted my new job, they started loading me up on work to prepare before I started, so I could hit the ground running.

I am now sequestered in downtown Chicago for 4 weeks, immersed in training. This is the first chance I have had to even look at these boards in almost 4 weeks. I promise that I will get the rest of the days done. It will take longer than I thought, but I will get them done. Hopefully, sometime next week I can get another day or 2 posted.

Anyway, take care and I promise you I will finish.....
