Are you allowed to order food from counter service and then take it togo and eat it while waiting for a parade, WOC, fireworks etc? Or is this a big no no?

Yes you can. I have done this at Pizza Port, Plaza Inn, and Jolly Holiday Bakery. I don't know if every counter service place is equipped to handle takeout, but those locations certainly are.

yeah those places have really nice containers...all the rest of them are in green baskets that you should be giving back...i usually use parade and fireworks times to get my corndogs
the green baskets can be left on any trashcan in the park they are given back to those places. I learned this on my last trip when we saw f and ate at stage door cafe.

Yes, you can get counter service and take it to areas for fireworks, Fantasmic!, and the parades. WOC, just remember you would need to eat it in line or stand there holding it for a while.
What about French Market? Do they have take-out containers? Are the containers easy to carry around? Should I bring a bag to hold them so I don't need to return the green basket afterwards? It's only for DD and me, so it should be easier to handle with the containers if they are available.
FM won't have containers, you can still take the food out but put the dishes etc on a garbage can top or take it back to the restaurant and put it on a garbage can there.
