Takeout at PS restaurants...

Has anyone ever gotten takeout at a priority seating restaurant? Is this possible? Could you feasibly make a PS at the Plaza Restaurant at 7:30, order your food to go, grab napkins and eat your sandwich, sitting on a curb waiting for Spectro?

Same question for say... Brown Derby at MGM and take it to Fantasmic, etc....

Anyone done this?

why would you even need a PS if you are not actually going to EAT at the restaurant??

I am not sure if they will package it "To Go" for you or not but I would imagine you wouldn't need to worry about a PS since you won't be occupying a table.

Dont know if the resorts are different than the parks, but we got take out twice at the Kona Cafe. We didnt book a PS. We just went by there around lunch time(they wouldnt accept the order over the phone) and ordered our sticky wings. We then took them out to the tables by the pool to eat. It worked out great.

Because they still have to COOK the food, and they may only have facilities and staff enough for a full restaurant's worth of people. So, you know, technically if a bunch of people came up and asked for takeout with no PS, and the restaurant was full, they not only couldn't seat you, but they probably couldn't cook for you either. Besides, might as well have a drink while I'm waiting for the food, ya know?
