I just wanted to post that I HATE my job. I get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach every morning when I wake up. When I get home at night, all I do is sit around dreading the next day.

This is no way to live.

Okay, that's enough! :D

Pig Pen,, what do you do? I don't really love my job either, but I like it okay. No sinking feeling in my stomache anymore. Had that last year when I was teaching second grade.

Have you seen the movie Office Space? Go rent it if you haven't. Great movie about this topic.

Been there.....done that......went back to school.

Went there.....did that again.....went back to school.

Went there again.....got a raise.....changed my job description......I'm finally ok with my job.

Where there is a will there is a way. Maggie

Life is too short to make yourself sick over a job. Get busy with your resume and at least look. It might help make you feel better. Who knows, maybe the perfect job is out there looking for you! Good luck. ::yes::

I'm sorry you feel like this. My DH was out of work for 8 months this past year...I dare say there is nothing like the "pit of your stomach feeling" like waking up and going to bed unemployed. Nothing. Don't do anything hasty, believe me. Any job is better than no check coming in. Talk to everyone you know and see, even strangers about potential jobs out there, but whatever you do, don't quit. Keep that paycheck until something better comes along. My best to you.

I'm lucky, I'm well respected and treated very generously at my job (I could stand a pay raise though:p). I feel like I work with family (a good family;)). I hope someday you'll find a job you'll look forward to going to.

I'm so sorry to hear your frustration with your job! That's an awful feeling!! I only had ONE job that I hated with a passion...well, it really wasn't the JOB it was the BOSS. Actually, it was a fabulous job but didn't pay much & the boss was a real *******! (Sure hope that bleeps out or I'll be too embarrassed to post again!! :o ) I had a 50 minute drive to work & I cried each & every day on my drive in!

After that nightmare......I've had nothing but fun & highly respected positons within great companies. I've also had wonderful bosses since then too because I won't take the same garbage anymore from ANYONE!

Wishing you lots of luck to find a job you can be happy with. You must go searching since you are the only one that can make the change happen & since you have to be there for the better part of your waking day, try to find something that will bring you some happiness or fulfillment!!

(I'm a SAHM now & even though the pay really stinks with this job  , it's probably the most fulfilling job I've ever had & the "boss" is pretty cool too!) :teeth:

P.S. Forgot to mention that the horrible boss I had, was FINALLY demoted after about a year that I left!! Then about 2 years later, he was fired! I almost wished I had been there to witness that!

It stinks to be miserable. I love your tag, I feel the same and have sent my resume to WDW. If they call, we are selling the house, moving the kids and DH. Toot, toot....off we go. At least I hope so anyhow.

We may leave the dog behind....he's so ugly anyhow. ;)

Dust off your resume and start looking! Being proactive really, really helps. I just handed in my two weeks' notice, and as soon as my DH gets his next Air Force assignment, I'll start hunting in the new place!

My DH feels the exact same way. It is a terrible way to go through life. Sending you pixie dust to find the strength to change your situation. I know....it's a hard thing to do.

Definitely sending you Pixie Dust!
As a "transportation manager" (a.k.a. truck dispatcher), I love my job, enjoy the people with whom I work, but I absolutely HATE stupid drivers who, especially on the weekends, expect to go where they wish. (ie: They live in Michigan and want me to give them a load to Florida to visit their cousin) At that point, I refer them to the Delta Airlines website for travel info.
