Take Thanksgiving Off?

I haven't been to DW Thanksgiving week in about 12 years, from what I remember it was crowded but not as bad as it could be. We are going from the 22-29 and have some planned "take it easy" days in there where we will not be going to a park. Should I avoid going to the parks on Thanksgiving Day? Is it more busy at the parks that day than the surrounding days? I hadn't thought of this until I read a post about Christmas Day being crazy crowded and to avoid the parks.

We were there this past T-day week and we did purposely avoid the parks on Thanksgiving day. We had other family with us and they said that the parks were VERY crowded that day in particular MK. We had been at WDW since Sunday, so Thursday was a good park break day. We had a great day at DTD, swimming at our resort followed by T-day dinner at Yachts Club Galley. Friday we went back into the parks.
