Take some cabs or rent a car???

We are staying at the dolphin. I am wondering if I should rent a car or take taxi's to the 3 times we want to go to parks other then HS and epcot (we will be going to MK twice and AK once). Does anyone know how much it is to take a cab to and from MK and AK? Renting a car will cost us about $200. Thanks.

How are you getting from the airport to the Dolphin?

Do you know there are buses to MK & AK - the same buses that service BWI, BC & YC (sometimes all one bus, sometmies they split them up in busier times). If you don't want to take the Disney buses, then it will run about $18-$20 plus tip one way to MK and AK. So you're looking at around $50 a day for park transportation via taxi.

Suggest you just take the Disney buses to the parks. Much cheaper than renting a car and paying to park or taking a taxi.

We stay at the Dolphin all the time - Disney provides transportation to all the parks/waterparks and DTD and it is complimentary WDW Resort transportation.

You can take a bus to AK and MK as well as the boats to EP or HS (or walk !). I would not rent a car for a few trips as Dolphin charges a parking fee IIRC $15 per night! at least parking at the theme parks is free for Dolphin guests.

The MK bus takes you directly to the park vs the TTC where you then have to take the monorial or a boat to MK.

For the few trips we take from resort to resort which is more complicated via Disney transporation we do use a cab.

The only perk you don't get with the Dolphin is Magical Express and of course room charging. You do get package delivery to the resort from the park and extra magic hours.
