Take Small Children By The Hand....a Sept Trip Report (Baby pics-Page 40)

I love PM EMH at MK. It's my favorite! :)

I could go for a Dole Whip float right now. I really want to stay in the Poly because they have a Dole Whip machine there. I would have them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

EMH at MK was the best...I love all of the parks at night.

That's what I would do too!!! Dole Whips are the best.

After a late night at the MK, I woke up around 8:15am. I was still pretty tired, but I couldn't sleep anymore. I started feeling sad...it was now Monday and we were going home on Wednesday. :sad1: Even Madison had been getting a little sad over the past few days. I couldn't even bring up talk of a future trip...Tony would get mad at me. Anyways......I sat in bed for awhile writing in my trip journal and wishing we were at AK for EMH. I really wanted another frozen chai!

Our new plan for the day was to get to DHS in the early afternoon. We had to turn in our last GAD voucher! We also wanted to try and get Madison into the Jedi Training Academy. Also on the list was the Backlot Tour, GMR, ToT & RNRC for Tony and TSMM. We missed the Animation Academy last time, so we wanted to do that too. There was EMH from 7-10pm and we had an ADR at 50's PTC for 4:20pm. Kristen & her clan would be there today too.

Tony & Madison got up around 8:30am and we discussed the plan for the day. Around 8:45am, Tony went to get us breakfast. After we ate, we went down to the pool to swim for awhile. I came back up to the room around 9:20am to get ready for the day. Tony & Maddie came back around 10:15am and we were out the door at 10:45am.

It was super hot today and we had quite awhile to wait for Madison's Jedi show. Thank goodness for the big umbrellas they have over there!

Waiting not so patiently

The love bugs were swarming pretty badly by the Jedi area...gross! Kristen texted me to let me know that her friend Tracy would be sining in one of the AI shows that day. How cool! Soon enough, it was time for Madison to get ready for her Jedi training.

359.jpg

I felt so bad for the kids...those robes look hot!

I couldn't even take pictures during the show. That's how bad the love bugs were over there. I was getting SO aggravated! After I saw Madison battle Darth Vader, I went into the Backlot Express and watched through the window.

So proud of my little girl!

After the Jedi show, we ate at the Backlot Express. We shared some chicken nuggets, fries, a Sprite and cheesecake. We then walked over to the Backlot Tour (10 min standby); something Madison had never done before. It was still blazing hot and the wait seemed much longer than 10 minutes. I was so sticky and uncomfortable. The Backlot Tour was a huge disappointment for me...it's way too short now. We headed over to Pixar Place to ride TSMM. They were clearing everyone out of the area, so the ride must have been down. I grabbed a set of GAD FP's and we went to the GMR (10 min). I don't remember if we had the cowboy or the gangster this time.

We then went back to TSMM and all was well again. I rode with Madison and these were our scores:

363.jpg

Sorry about the flash...I was on the right and Madison on the left

As usual, Tony kicked our butts. After we finished our first ride, we grabbed another set of GAD FP's and rode again right away. I saw alone this time:

364.jpg

I was working more for accuracy than high score I guess!

By this time, it was close to 4pm. We slowly made our way over to 50's PTC for our 4:20pm ADR.

We checked in around 4:05pm and tried to find somewhere to hang out in the Den. It was really crowded! At 4:45pm, we still weren't seated!!! I was getting hungry, cranky and dizzy from the massive amount of people in that waiting area. Tony went to check to see when we'd be seated and we were next. Cousin Stacey was our server and she was great! Tony had the meatloaf & a vanilla coke; I had the fried chicken with sweet tea; Madison had chicken soup (which we ate), mac and cheese and a make your own sundae. Tony cleaned his plate and Cousin Stacey was very pleased by this. My fried chicken was delicious, but I couldn't finish it. At least I finished all of my veggies!!

I want some of that fried chickend right now

369.jpg

During the meal, we were pretty thirsty. I think Tony and I had two refills on our drinks. Cousin Stacey told us she was going to have to call Grandma and have her take our the rubber sheets!!! So funny. Madison and Tony couldn't keep their elbows off the table...Tony tattled on Maddie once and Cousin Stacey was none too pleased. For dessert I got Dad's brownie sundae and Tony got the s'mores. They were SO good!

370.jpg

Biggest sundae I've ever attempted to eat

Tony's s'mores and Madison's birthday cupcake

I can't wait to eat at 50's PTC again. We had such a great meal there.

Up Next...the rest of our DHS day

Awe! I love how intense Madison is about the Jedi training! She looks very cute in the photos!

I know how uncomfortable the muggy Fl heat is but I would give anything to feel that arouns here right about now!

She was VERY into the Jedi training...she loved it!

I am not a lover of the heat. Mid 70's is tolerable to me, but after that, forget it. That day at DHS was definately the hottest day we experienced. Standing at the Jedi stage and waiting in line for the Backlot Tour was the worst. I was melting.

Awww, I hate the "trip is almost over" blues! You look forward to it for so long and it's over in a flash. It's the worst!
I love the pictures of Madison at Jedi Training-- the PP border is great! She looks like she really enjoyed it!
50's PT Cafe looks really yummy-- especially that chicken!

Those were some crazy love bugs! Perhaps the little Jedi's could have called upon the force to keep them at bay.

I'm so hungry after reading your updates- dole whips, fried chicken, yummy sundaes... my tummy is growling!

I hate the last few days of a Disney trip. Even though there are a few days left, you know that it's winding down.

We love those pics too! She really enjoyed herself and I'm so glad we were able to get her into a show.

50's PTC is so yummy. I want that chicken again!

The bugs were disgusting at the Jedi stage. I had my camera out and they kept landing on it. So gross! They were landing all over me and I couldn't take it anymore. They were just bad over there for some reason. We didn't really encounter them anywhere else at DHS.

My stomach growls while I'm working on my food updates too. That fried chicken was the best I've ever had.

yay for another great day!!! 50s looks sooo good right now, I could use some fried chicken since I get that every time I go!!! The desserts look great too! I always make the mistake of getting a milk shake and by the time I get to dessert, I take 2 bites and I'm done. I had no idea they had sweet tea at 50s!!! I'll for sure get that next time!!

I was very tempted to get a milkshake, but I knew I'd never eat any of my food! I drank sweet tea all week while we were there. I don't know if it's "authentic" sweet tea, but it sure tasted like it!

Jedi training looks fun. You got some great pics there!!
(well Photopass did)
The food looks heavenly. I want to try the smores some day there. I had an ADR for there, but now we aren;t going to HS at all, so there goes that idea.

She had so much fun with the Jedi training. It really made her day. The photopass guy definately got some great pics!

DHS is NOT our favorite park, but 50's PTC and Sci-Fi are so yummy.

Aww, I feel the same way when we enter the last hal of our vacations. I always start to get the sad feeling that you know it will all be over soon.

And ew, gross about the love bugs. I definitely do not miss seeing them flying around.

Madison looked so cute in her Jedi training!

Awesome! Madison got to be in Jedi training! I'm jealous! LOL. I would love to be in that show but I think I'm just a tad over the age limit. ;) But ew to all those bugs!

I love 50's PT! I agree, their fried chicken is excellent!

I always get a little sad when the end of the trip is nearing. I'm always like 'We have one more full day and then we have to leave!' :( It just flies by doesn't it?

Have you heard? I'm going to Disneyland next month!!! :)

The last few days are so hard. You're trying to enjoy each moment because you know you're heading home soon.

The love bugs were so disgusting that morning. I seriously threw a little tantrum at that stage. I had to get away from them!

Aw, thanks! :goodvibes

She was very excited about it. Tony took a little video of her fighting Darth Vader on his Blackberry, but he has no clue how to send it to me! I'd love to post it for everyone.

Best fried chicken ever at 50's PT!!!

The end of the trip is no fun. Time goes by too quickly.

I did see that on FB....how awesome!!

I adore the Jedi pics....so cute! Ooo...how exciting that you're eating at 50's PT on your upcoming trip. I hope someone has some fried chicken for me!

This weekend is full of Irish dancing for us. There is a Multicultural night at Madison's school tomorrow. She'll be dancing with her fellow Irish dancers and she'll also be performing in a Chinese ribbon dance, recorder ensemble and chorus. She also has Irish dancing shows Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.

So sorry it's been so long since I updated!!! We've been pretty busy around here lately! Anyways.......

After dinner, the skies starting looking a bit ominous and it was kind of windy. Tony went over to use his FP's for RNRC (2 of them) and ToT while Madison and I went to the Animation Building. Since there was no Fantasmic that night, there were TONS of characters. But, we wanted to do the animation class and we'd come back for autographs.

We got to draw Stitch which was a lot of fun. Madison kept getting upset because she wasn't doing it perfectly. Nothing like a crying child in a quiet room! I told her it didn't have to be perfect; it was just something fun to do. She wouldn't let me take a picture of her drawing, but here's mine:

372.jpg

Not bad!

After the class, we met back up with Tony by the hat, grabbed our last GAD FP for TSMM and hopped in line. We got our highest scores of the day!

373.jpg

I was blue and Madison was red...Tony still beat us.

We decided to go back to the Animation Building after this to meet some characters, but they were all gone. :sad1: Anyways, we wanted to take Tony to the drawing class and this time we got to draw Chip. I forgot to take pics and I don't know where they are in my house right now. He was definately fun to draw!

We went to check on TSMM and the standby line was at 60 minutes (it was now EMH). We decided to check back later on in the evening and headed over to the GMR instead. It said it was a 5 min wait, but we waited a bit longer than that...it wasn't too bad (this was around 8:45pm). When we were done with that, we once again went back to TSMM. It still said 60 minutes, but we got in line anyways. It was our last chance to ride it on this trip. We got lucky with our GAD FP's all day, so we didn't mind waiting. There isn't a whole lot of other things to choose from during EMH at DHS anyways.

375.jpg

The line was really weaving inside the building, but it was ok. I took a lot of pics (that I won't bore you with) and we only ended up waiting about 30 minutes (we got on the ride at 9:45pm).

388.jpg

My best score yet!!!

After our super fun time on TSMM, we went to Cover Story to add our Jedi photopass pics onto our card. It was closed!!!! A few CM's were walking by and we told them we needed to add our pics (Madison was in tears). They said we could add them at any park...whew! I also found it odd that they weren't taking any more photopass pics in front of the hat. We approached a photographer and he said they were done for the day. I understand that EMH was now ending, but I wanted a pic! Oh well.

389.jpg

We got to our bus stop right around 10pm and a bus was just leaving. However, another one pulled right up. We were back at Pop around 10:20pm. We hung out for a bit, wrote in our journals (me and Maddie) and watched some Monday night football. I made sure to put our MNSSHP tickets in my wallet for the next day and I also made sure I packed our treat bags and glow bracelets. I was really looking forward to going to the party the next day, but I knew that would be our last night. :sad1: I knew I had to pack up the majority of our stuff the next day and I didn't want to do it. Just a week earlier I was super excited about packing for vacation.

We all fell asleep right around 11pm...we could sleep in a bit the next morning since we didn't have any early morning plans.

Up Next....MNSSHP!!!

My daughter got really upset that her drawing didn't look perfect either...I felt really bad, but I reminded her that it was just a fun thing to try. Bummer you missed out on all of the characters!

Looking forward to your MNSSHP update! :thumbsup2

Nice drawing of Stitch! :thumbsup2

Great scores for TSM! My accuracy is never that high!

Can't wait to read about MNSSHP! I had so much fun when I went in 09.

I've been following along with your blog. The baby's room is looking good! :)
