Sorry if this has been posted before. I just went to Walmart this morning to look for things for my trip December 2. I usually take those color run sheets in case we do a mixed load. But I was very happy to find a product called "Dropps". This is laundry detergent in a little plastic packet and you just drop them in. I haven't used them yet, but the package says one packet per load, all washers, all temperatures, all colors, all fabrics, gentle on clothes and skin, eco friendly, advance cleaning, fresh scent, enzyme free. The packets are really small, so I'm sure they will pack nicely.

This is awesome news. I used to take the tablets but can't find them anymore but this sounds just as handy - and much easier to pack that powder detergent in zip lock bags.

I'll have to be on the lookout for those. On our last trip I took one of those travel size bottles of Tide I got in the $1 bin at Target. The Dropps sound like they would be handier, and I wouldn't have to worry about spillage. Thanks for the heads up.

Do you know if they come in a scent free version?

How much were they at Walmart?

I used these on my trip in October and they worked fine. I purchased mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond. There was only one kind there and they were slightly scented but nothing very strong.

I used the Oxy Ball last year, they had a free promotion that you received the starter kit. It is a hard ball of detergent, in a cloth bag that you throw in the washer. Lasts about 25 loads. My ball is waiting to return to Disney with us next year. I am not sure if it is still available.

Yes there is an unscented version. There are 20 loads in the package. I forgot how much they were, but I will look for my receipt. I'm thinking 6.49 but I don't remember exactly. I was just so excited to find them.

I participated in a campaign for those earlier this year, and tried them out. They are a wee bit expensive, but along with being super convenient, they are also environmentally-friendly.
I like a lot of scent in my laundry, so I didn't love them, but even the "scented" version had very little scent, IMO. And, yes, there was a scent-free version.
On the website (dropps.com), they have a sample pack of 2 for just shipping, or a 20 load pack for free after rebate. They are also sold on Amazon, and you can search to see where they're sold near you.
I saved my stash to bring with us, as I already had them, and it's cheaper than buying the bottle of detergent down there.
Sorry this turned into a commercial ;)

We took them with us on our last trip and loved them! Very convenient, used very little space and did a nice job of cleaning.

Thank you so much for posting about the free (with shipping charge) samples! I got two sample packs of the non-scented kind to take with us to DW in June. My partner has a severe reaction to scented products and we have a High Efficiency washer at home that uses special soap, so I was wondering what we were going to use for laundry soap at DW.
This helps a lot!

thanks!
