not sure if someone mentioned this already, but Disney has started selling Vintage-style Tshirts that look 'retro'.

One of the T-shirts has a rendering of the monorail with the words "Por Favor, Mantengase Alejado de las Puertas".

I loved it so much I bought it.

Please someone reply that they also find this humorous.

My daughter and I always crack up at this message on the monorail - EXCUSE ME! - I mean Old Band-Aid! We figure that most of our Spanish speaking guests have had a hand removed because by the time the Spanish part of the message starts the doors are already closing!

Since the windows are open on DL's OBA - the aroma is not contained... so it doesn't smell the same. Regardless, it's still an OBA - especially since it's old and creaky - so it kind of NEEDS a band-aid to keep moving.

I've never noticed any odor, at least nothing unpleasant. Maybe it's because I love them and am always excited to be onboard and heading to a park or monorail resort though. My rose colored glasses may inhibit the smelling of odors!

DW and I are currently in Luxembourg. We started our Chevy Chase vacation in Paris on Sunday. Our travel arrangements had us taking the hi-speed (186mph) TGV train for Paris to Metz to Luxembourg. Absolutely a fabulous trip...beautiful scenery, comfortable accomodations, the whole bit. We get to Metz and have to change trains. We get on the double decker coach...no one on it, and we're sitting there admiring the trip and it hits me...

The damn thing smells like a NEW BAND-AID!!! My wife doesn't understand what the hell I'm talking about but I'm going on and on how the train smells like a NBA and the monorail smells like an OBA. At this point she just wanted to hit me.

Chill...DW has a thought now...I did the train yesterday on a site seeing mission...it's the greatest way to travel. Sure enough, this train has the NBA aroma. But I told DW it smells like something else, too.

It has the slightest aroma of a barnyard...certainly not full fledged barn yard but enough to make me smell it. Maybe petting zoo or something but it's now a toss up, NBA or Barnyard. We taking the train back to Paris tonite...could be the deciding vote unless we get an OBA!

But, she also is now a believer.

Our group decided they smelled like elephants on our last trip. Doesn't stop us from using them though!!

What the heck do elephants even smell like???? I don't think the monorails have much of a smell at all. maybe it depends alot on who was in the monorail right before you.
