We received our box of 3 Magic Bands today (staying on property at the GF) and 3 luggage tags (two pink Daffy Duck and one blue Donald Duck. I have read that Disney provides yellow tags for checked luggage so you don't have to collect your luggage at arrival. Is this still the case? I tried to call DW directly but was on hold for 15 minutes and decided to hang up : (

The Magical Express info arrives separately from the magic bands if you've signed up for it. I got mine just after 20 days before my trip.

You need to research, & sign up for Magical Express information separately.

Magic Bands and the matching tags that come with them are entirely different and separate from the sticker luggage tags from Magical Express. You should already have gotten those; call DME.

Be sure to sign up for Magical Express as soon as you have your flight information. The yellow tags will come separately from magic bands. Never in the same package. Those tags you got with your bands are not for magical express luggage transfer.

You will only get one tag per person for you luggage transfer tag. You can call and get more if you want.

Daffy Duck?!!!! Lol

The yellow tags are for Magical Express. Those are seperate from the magic bands and color luggage tags you get with them. You have to be signed up for Magical Express and they must have your flight info.

So....what if someone didn't give DME their flight information, and they leave for the World in 4 days...? ugh. I've dropped the ball with so many aspects of this trip.

I would call DME (866) 599-0951 and give them your name and flight information so that you will be allowed on the DME -- I think they will probably tell you that you need to get your luggage off the airport luggage carousel and bring it with you to the DME welcome center at MCO, check in and then have your driver put your bags in the luggage compartment on the bus. All you will really lose out on is that you will have to go from baggage claim to the DME welcome center and then bring your bags into the hotel for check in -- or if you have online check in and they text you your room number, hand your bags off to the bell service and have them bring them to your room -- I'm not certain if you have to be in the room for that, I think you do but don't shoot me if you don't.

There's another option (but you DO have to call DME to get a reservation!) for luggage.

I haven't gotten my tags yet!

Never fear. You have two options. You can claim your bags like normal, or you can have Disney claim them for you as if you did have those yellow tags. Bypass baggage claim, and go straight to the Welcome Center. From there, give the Cast Member your luggage claim tickets. They will create replacement tags for you, find your bags, tag them, and send them to your resort.

Those will come in an envelope directly from DME, and it will contain the confirmation letter and your yellow luggage tags. This assumes that you have made DME reservations already. Call Magical Express directly (866) 599-0951 if you want to confirm, or if you haven't yet made your reservations.

Just call DME, give them your name, resort reservation number. No, you won't get the tags in time, but you can just arrive at the DME check in area and get on a bus. Luggage? Two choices. 1. go to baggage claim and get the bags and bring them, with you, to the DME bus. They will be stowed beneath your bus, and handed off to you when you reach your resort. 2. go right to the DME area, give your luggage claim receipts to the DME workers. They will send someone to fetch your bags and get them delivered right to your room. Both ways work very well...just depends on your preferences.
