Lewski that story is so awful! Between that one and my sister's I think I'll stay off the interstate today. Hate the interstate! I seriously would rather drive the old way to Florida if we ever do. (Two lane highway through many, many towns.) DH wants to put the pedal down and get there though. That poor family. Keep us up to date if you get any news.

I'm back.

Daniel's team played a near perfect game last night. They beat the mini-pro team the entire game, they were never behind, won every inning, except - the last one. No ERA's! Except the last play of the game. The score was tied, bases loaded, two outs. Our coaches called time-out to make sure everyone knew that the play was at home.

Up comes the batter, out to center field goes a hard hit ball. Our centerfielder picked up, and held it. He just stood there watching all the runners fly around the bases. He completely froze. He's an excellent ballplayer. I feel just awful for him. Poor kid.

So we lost. And I don't care in the least. Since we were winning the entire game, it would have been nice to win. We would have had to play them again right away due to the double-elimination thingie. But anyway. I didNOT want to go the state championship level. We would have got our butts whooped good and proper there.

Oh one thing that was really FUN! Daniel had hit the ball and was running as hard as he could to beat the throw to first. It was thisclose. At first it looked like he might be out, then the UMP pointed at the first baseman's foot and said he was "SAFE!". The coaches on the other side didn't care much for the call and one of them just kept mouthing off, mouthing off, mouthing off, mouthing off. The UMP pointed at him and said "You're outta here!" and pointed him toward the parking lot.

I really loved that part. I think that was my favorite part of the game.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't had time to check in. Busy around here. I did notice that Daniel has done very well at baseball. Home run?? Congrats!!!!

Anyone want to take pity and give me an update??????

Ok here is the story. You all know I had my sis and her son coming in on Fri night. Well surprise for me, my other sis came along too.! But that wasnt all of it. My hubby planned a huge surprise b day party for me on Sat. Tons of people showed up (I didn't know that many people liked me!! ) He had a power point presentation, gag gifts etc. And he did it all by himself. My sisters only helped set up. It was a great party. Lots of people wore black and I even had a black veil on. I thought I was going to help some friends set up for a retirement party at the church. I didn't want to go b/c my sisters were in town and wanted to spend time with them but the guilt took over and I told my sisters only a few minutes to help the at retirment party. And low and behold----surprise!! What a great hubby huh???

Gotta go. My sister is hounding me to help her unpack boxes.

Hey everyone!

Yes, just to back up what [COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR] said, the BEST part of the game was when that assistant coach got the boot. How sad that the kids on the other team have such awful role models. It was really sickening. Those kids could not have been having fun. Way to much pressure in that dugout. The funniest thing is that their coach kept yelling "we've been working for this for 3 years......blah blah blah" . Well, Daniel's team has been together all of 2 weeks & they almost beat that team twice. After the game, the coaches (my brother included) gave the best speeches about how great the kids were, & how hard they played.

Well, I've gotta get outta here. Josh is at Soccer Camp this morning & I'm gonna go watch the last 1/2 hour.

Hmmm, I think we need breakfast. Something quick and sort of healthy... Cheerio's. With Toast Jam and Milk.

I agree. I would kiss that puppy on the LIPS! Did I ever mention how cute Bichon lips are? Their lips are black, and Bichons are great smilers. BTW, LLEBREKNIT, only 28 days left of summer vacation? The boys go back to school around September 8th. But then again, you guys get out a lot sooner than we do.

So we went to the movies last night. $1.50 a ticket. We saw "The Day After Tomorrow". It was absolutely CORNY! I loved it. Hunter got a little scared, but I assured him that the earth was not going to freeze over anywhere in the near future, and when and if it ever does freeze over, it won't happen in a few days. The special effects were cool though.
