TAGLIARCHY Summer Escape!

Hey, ohanafamily, empty your mailbox! I still have the pain that I had prior to the surgery, but they think it is all the inflammation from the surgery. I did get my long term disability approved finally after two months of jumping through hoops (this is insurance policy!) so our my financial worries can lessen a bit. So many problems makes Kathy a sad person! Enough of me!

Cheeringmom, love that dress! Very sophisticated!!!!

dawgfan I would love to go and see Boston's fireworks! You know, Tucson's firework display bites! We don't even go to the show cuz it is too bad! Last year, they were cancelled because of the fire hazards and our dry conditions then!

Hey, Deadheadbelle, it's good to be back!

Hey everyone! We're back from picking up the best cookies from the bestest bakery here in Lexington. We also picked up a bunch of baloons & an ice cream cake from Graeter's, the bestest ice cream shop in all the land.

I'm in for the cruise to Boston. Maybe while we are there, we can teach the Red Sox how to play defense  .

I've picked out my dress. I've only worn it twice & I want to wear it again.

Can't wait! I think I'll drink beer tonight. Please load up the cooler with Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale, the bestest beer in all the world.

 Have a happy Fourth everyone! Oh, I should use the word bestest I guess - so that cruise to Boston sounds like the bestest cruise ever. I wold love to see fireworks this weekend.

IRL I will be up in Maine watching them on TV. Have a great weekend everyone! :wave2: :teeth:

Hey! I went to bed in the 12th inning last night. Let me guess, the Red Sox lost, didn't they?

Well, A-Rod's a big dummy anyway. Who makes that much money and tries to get the same guy out 2x?

Hi there folks!

Hope you're having a nice 4th. Enjoying the vacation. dawgfan, I'll dress up, but I'm bringing shorts & t-shirts to wear when we're far enough out that you can't turn the boat around! I'll stick with Diet Coke, if that's okay. I've never been a boat designated driver, but I'm willing to try!

Have a great day everyone! See you at the boat docks!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY EVERYONE!!! PARTY!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :jester:   :hyper: :yo-yo: :earseek: :smooth: :jumping1: :rockband: :thewave:

llebrekniT Glad Pluto and Uranus were found safe and sound! You hold on tight now...wouldn't want them running off again! I think Venus is a nice addition to the clan, too ::yes:: Now, what'd you say about a kitty? She got a name yet?

dawgfan The cruise sounds wonderful! Will have to find an appropriate dress ::yes::

Hey, anyone seen Tour Guide Barbie yet today? I *think* we may be able to make today's field trip mesh nicely with dawgfan's cruise! She said something about getting some drinks....

Well, kids don't seem to want to stay in their beds this afternoon. Gonna go put them down (again!). Catch you later!

Hi! I'm Tour Guide Barbie!!

I'm SO happy you've asked me to show you around Nova Scotia! I hear you're having a party tonight, so I thought I'd show you somewhere to pick up some adult beverages! Mmm, mmm, good!

Today we'll be touring the Glenora Distillery

<img width="500" src="http://www.glenoradistillery.com/complex_2000.jpg">

The Gaels, who are reputed to having invented what they call "Uisge Beatha" or "The Water of Life", were some of the original settlers of Nova Scotia, so it is fitting that a whisky distillery has found a home here. In addition to distilling single malt whisky, which is presently aging in oak barrels, Glenora blends and bottles Smuggler's Cove dark, white and amber rums.

The Glenora Inn & Distillery is located at Glenville, Inverness County, Nova Scotia, Canada. The Glenora Distillery, with an annual production of 250,000 litres of whisky, is the only single malt distillery in North America. The Distillery started production in June 1990. But what does single malt mean? Well, like its single malt brothers and sisters in Scotland, it’s made by one distillery (Glenora), from one grain source (barley from the UK) and from one water source (MacLellan’s Brook flowing from the Mabou Highlands). Put them all together and you’ve got liquid that no whisky lover can afford not to try. As it says on the back of Glen Breton’s box, “air do dheag slàinte” - to your excellent health.

Glenora Distillery is located on a 300 acre site. The seven buildings house malt, kiln, milling production, warehouses, bottling, and hospitality facilities. The structures were constructed in a traditional post and beam style, similar in nature to distilleries found in Scotland.

After our tour, I've arrange a little tasting for us of all Glenora's products! :) Please, one sample per item per person! Whisky Tasting Tip: The best way to discover the true flavour of a whisky is to nose it - not taste it. While the first sip has the tendency to stun your taste buds with its shock of alcohol, the aroma is able to reveal all of the spirits individual personality traits without any interference. Just give the whisky a good swirl and breath.

After that, you may browse in the gift shop for full-sized bottles to take home (duty free). You may also find the usual t-shirts, hats, postcards, and other souvenirs of your visit to Glenora!

For those of you returning to our summer vacation home, the bus will be leaving at 5:00 pm. If you're looking for a little entertainment, Glenora does host local musicians nightly in the pub. Transportation back to our estate can be arranged. Just ask me after the tour! Thank you!

Oh dear! I seem to have forgotten about our underage folks!

Well, if you want to join us on the tour, for company's sake, I'll be sure that some tasty, yet non-alcoholic drinks are provided! Likewise for the cruise with dawgfan!

If you'd rather not go on the tour, please avail yourself of our alternate plan....an afternoon at Atlantic Playland where you can enjoy bumper cars, bumper boats, an arcade, ferris wheel, water slides, batting cages, mini-golf, and lots of other activities :)

We went a few days ago, but I think you missed that one! Go, enjoy, and we'll see you on the boat later! ;)

I may be underaged, but I'm no way unfortunate. I'll never be big on drinking....just the thought turns me off. I think I'll stick to water.

I think I'll wander over to Atlantic Playland again, thanks Tour Guide Barbie!!!! :teeth:

Is Ashton around to come with me?? Or anyone, for that matter?? Perhaps I'll meet some cuties over there....:teeth:
