....had to speak at a meeting tonight and got the familiar willies and panic attacks beforehand ..... but I must say I sounded better than expected I just might be getting the hang of it.......or else I just might not give a **** what anyone thinks anymore

oh, well, gotta be a good parent and get Jordan to bed......late again.....probably no time for reading....just brush teeth, hop into some jammies and hit the pillow......zzzzzz

Dearest St. LewnotMonicaski, you have no idea how flattered I am that you'd ask me to join y'all. I'm truly and sincerely touched and believe me, if there was a way, I'd be making our reservations right this minute. Unfortunately, my kids will be in 6th and 10th grades, and this Super(Idiot)Mom is already committed way over her head for fall activities. Plus, I doubt if the house would survive at a functioning level if I were gone. (Not to over-grandize my importance, but it's true!)

So, I will toss down this last rita, bid adieu to the other hot-tubbers... Oh, hey I forgot to tell you guys. My mom had her gall bladder surgery today. Everything went fine, no surprises. She is home & said she feels pretty good. Thanks to the good ole Percocets!

Glad the surgery went well. I had mine removed when Jordan was 3 and boy, was it painful Be extra nice to your mom....the drs say it's an easy surgery....but it really is painful those first few days afterward........I stayed with my parents.....my mom is weary of painkillers and I promise you, she waited til the last second to give me the pain pills each time....I was in total agony...my dad had had a bad reaction to the same drug...she kept trying to explain it to me but when you're in pain you really don't care....but when I finally got one, those little babies worked like a charm!

How long had your mom had the gallstone attacks before she was diagnosed? and also, it runs in the family....my dad had his removed just 2 yrs before mine.....they say pregnancy sometimes brings it on, like in my case. I suffered for two years with ulcers,etc....before they figured out what was wrong with me....I was also a single mom and going thru a nasty divorce so they thought the ulcers were from stress....they finally did an ultrasound and lo and behold, they found stones

I even still have them in a jar. Honest, wanna see 'em?

cadburysmom--Thanks---I tell NC Beast to first try the Target near his job first---he is the one who want to make them toasty.
The Raleigh Grande is one of my favorite movie theater in the area--I don't really like The Forum (at least pre-new ownership/renovations) or The Carmike. I had enough of peeps for a long time.

deadheadbelle---I'm gald to hear that your Mom did so well on her surgery. My MIL had hers out in 10/97 and went on a vacation less than a week later to San Francisco--I had mine out a month after her operation and my MIL's sister had hers out a month after mine. I had to stay overnight with my surgery-I was real close to having the traditional operation because I had two golf ball size stones and a bunch of gravel size. It didn't cause me any extreme pain-I just upchuck a lot of stuff until I had surgery. TMI, I know-sorry.
