Good morning everyone, English tea and muffins for everyone being dropped off for breakfast.

ibouncetoo I know what you mean about feeling lonely on here some times. Try being several hours ahead!!

No work for me today :) but plenty of work around the house and garden. I'm going try to start installing my water feature today, lots of digging too if we can hire a skip to put the spare earth in.

Well got to run, DH has to go to the chiropodist (sp? foot doctor!) so I have to drive.

I'm home--got back at 5 am. My trip was good-it was more of a fellowship get-together type thing. I went by Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom--it looks like it needs to be severely upgraded---too cold to do it. I am a bit too sick with bronchitis again. I am hopefully be over it soon.

I hope to explore KY more the next time with NC Beast. My room at the Galt House faced IND. and the river. Some of my friends were telling me how much things changed at the WDW parks since I been there and old rides. I miss being online. I'll catch up later...I'm tired and feel goofy. I didn't get much sleep.

My old churches started to celebrate Passover years ago as a reminder of the past--I never had the chance of trying the traditional foods. I hope those who celebrate it have a peaceful and enjoy their meals and time with family and friends. I have to refresh myself on the customs.

Have a fun day!:sunny:

Thanks Danauk for the Tea and muffins.. I am making some chocolate french toast with fresh giant strawberries to go with the tea and muffins..

NC Belle welcome back...

Danauk what happened to your DH's foot??

off to work.. TTFN

Good Morning everyone!

I'm up but kids are not. Time change has messed things up. DS-Josh has swimming class this morning, so I'm gonna have to go & wake them up.

llebrekniT should be heading to the airport pretty soon. I'm glad they are coming back today, one can only take so many calls from "Just outside Philharmagic", "Just outside ToT", "Just outside Festival of the Lion King", "Just on a bench near Mission:Space", "Just outside the Mexican Pavilion, WOW those margaritas look good!"...lol Anyway, I hope Ella's ears don't bother her on the way back.

NC Belle, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom STINKS!!!! Don't get me wrong, I am not comparing it to WDW. It's more comparable to a county Fair. It is awful. DH's company had their picnic their last year (it is usually at Paramount's Kings Island which is way better) & everyone complained about it. The worst part for us was that unless you are 48" tall, you can only ride the "kiddie" rides. All the other rides (I'm not talking rollercoasters folks) require you to be 48" (usually if you have a parent they will let you ride at most parks). If they have it there this summer, we'll spend most of the day at the water park.

Anyway, I better get the monkeys up & dressed for swimming class.

Have a great day everyone!!!

p.s. Thanks for breakfast Danauk, enjoy your time off work!!!

Thanks for the chocolate toast and strawberries geffric I think I'll have some for an afternoon snack (it is nearly 2pm here) DH had in infected toe. Part of his big toe nail had come off and the skin around the side of his toe grew over the nail bed. This caused a section of nail that was left to have new skin grow over the top of it. The whole toe got infected!! He had to have the infected nail dug out of the nail bed but it was so infected she could not use any anesthetic (ouch!! ). But the toe should heal now and it will be OK plus the bit of nail will grow back.

Welcome back NC Belle I'm glad you had a good trip.

Well my plans for getting out in the garden and installing the water feature have gone wrong. It is raining hard!! Plus they can not deliver the skip until tomorrow, oh well it can be tomorrows job instead. Today I plan to do all the washing and start to get things together for DLP. Then I can get my maths and English plans written for the first week back at school. Once that is done I won't need to think about work until I go back :D

So I guess I better get on.

Good morning all. :guilty: Note: there will be none of my usual exclamation points this morning. This time change is kicking me in the patooty. I feel like I'm sleep walking. AND it's 23 degrees this morning and snowing and blowing. :( Happy Passover? I thought it was Happy Chanukah! ;) Please pass the matzo ball soup. Mmmmmm.

Speaking of religion, we decided to go to the Lutheran church in our area rather than the Catholic church. (Psalm Sunday is a big deal in the Lutheran church.) I'm glad we did. The choir performed Faure's Requiem. It was really beautiful, and I got all verklempft. Speak amongst yourselves...

Okay, QOTD: Lady and the Tramp. I had an original release copy on VHS, but I must have lent it to someone, and they never returned it. I can't remember who.

Lewski ROTFLOL. Blowing in ears? OMG we are going to have so much fun in October. :teeth:

BTW, the crazy friend and his wife came over Saturday night. They taught us how to play 31. I took everyone's money. All $4.00 of it! The kids now have milk money for a week! :Pinkbounc

Good morning everyone. Bichon Barb I just wanted to pop in and note that some Lutheran churches aren't as elaborate in their Palm Sunday services. I am Lutheran and my husband is Catholic (I know pretty wierd combo but it works for us) and we went to his church Sunday because they had a special choir and did the full reading of the Passion as opposed to my church that really didn't do much of anything. The service you went to seems like a true winner, though. I would have loved to have gone to that.

Hey, the Homeless Dis'rs may be moving to new quarters in Hawaii - all TAGLIKINS are welcome to come on over and check out the soon to be new digs on Maui (as soon as someone sets it up).

QOTD: Snow White

Hi Castlegazer. I wonder if it's a synod thing (ELCA), because inthe church which I grew up going to and my parents still go to, it's a big day too. The choirs prepare special music, and the kids march in with the Psalms, etc. It's like the big intro to Holy Week. BTW, my husband is Catholic. The kids are Catholic -- with a side of Lutheran. ;)

My these boards seem to be quiet lately, where is eveyone? DH and I are just about to go out to the DIY store to buy some things to make our new rabbit run and hutch. I guess we will have to wait until tomorrow to make it as it is still raining here! So much for doing the outside jobs today!! Oh well.:wave2:

Danauk, I am so impressed with all your projects. I never seem to get anything done.

Bichon Barb, I am hating the time change, too. I have Lady & the Tramp on DVD. I think I got it a couple of years ago. I'm sure they will re-release it with lots of extras & better picture & sound.

DMIL is coming by in a few. She just got back from Spring Break with DH's little brother (he is 16). They went to Sandestin in Florida (panhandle, I think). She has gifts for the kids. She bought Lainie a dress, and one for herself that matches  . She is nuts. But she is pretty cool as far as MIL's go. I consider myself lucky after hearing some in-law stories here on the DIS.

Talked to llebrekniT about a 1/2 hour ago. They were at the airport. She was searching for an iced coffee. They are so sad to be coming home. She said it is the best trip they have ever had!

Deadheadbelle we have to get our projects done in our holidays or in the weekends leading up to the holidays as these are the only times we really have to do things. I just wish it would stop raining so I can get on with it!! Oh well English planning is done so I should do the maths plans now too now then all my holiday work for school is done.

Oh I just thought of something I wish I had on DVD: I have lion king 1 and 3 (or 1 1/2 to you guys) but I don't have number 2.

Okay, I confess. I miss the talk of magic wands and planets. :teeth: ;)

Speaking of wands and planets, we are missing some of our crazier Tagliarchans:

Huggabaloo - I'm going to send him a PM and ball him out for not checking in.

RickinNYC - He doesn't visit near enough lately! Hmpfff!

Lewski - She needs to tell the boss that it is her religious belief that she must DIS a couple hours a day.

Hello, hello...hope everyone had a good weekend!:teeth:

Bichon Barb I know what you mean and I miss them too! Rick and Hugabaloo, where are you????????....(she calls out into the internet abyss)

Danauk You are making me feel quilty because I really need to do something with this yard......I've actually bought bulbs....but unfortunately they just don't plant themselves!

Deadheadbelle I'm all excited to hear about llebrekniT's trip cause we're staying at CSR in early June. Just trying to decide on PS...know we're doing OHanas first night, just trying to decide on the others. I'm a little miffed at myself cause if I'd gotten my lazy self to book the flights yesterday, I would have saved about $80. Oh, well, live and learn......

Quickly popping by.

Ok, so what exactly is in a Matza Ball and what do they taste like?

Barb I am sure I appaled some people by my behavior, but DH thinks it's a riot. I tell him ALL. The guy kept saying "ok, let's leave right now and have ***". I was like, HELLO........I'm married. He kept insisting I wasn't happy. I kept blowing on him and laughing. :teeth: I know, I'm BAD!

I must say Danauk does have a lot of projects, but no kids DHB. That's a lot of the reason I can never get ANYTHING done......kids. I wouldn't trade mine, but I sometimes envy couples without them. I am sure the tables reverse too. I waited until I was 27 for DS#1 and 31 until DS#2. Sometimes, I don't think I waited long enough and then I think, wow.....if I had em sooner, they'd be closer to out the door.

Time Change, did the time change? Ah.......I must remind you all again........my time never changes. :hyper:

It was 27 here this am. Coldy coldy coldy, especially since it's been in the 50's and 60's.

QOTD: ??? I am not a collector, can't think of anything I want that I can't have...........in DVD's anyhow. :earseek:

Later guys!:wave2:

Hi all,
please forgive the mixed cases, I AM Trying Handwriting Recognition software!

Bichon Barb, I miss them too!

Lewski709, I guess you aren't getting into too much trouble...Matzah Balls are ground Matzah mixed with eggs and oil (to make a dough) formed into balls and cooked in boiling water. They are yummy in soup. (textured kind of like dumplings...)

Danauk, we do have some early and late people. and thanks for Breakfast. I cove DIY Projects, But never seem to have the Time.

llebrekniT, we mised you.

castlegazer, thanks for the invite!

Gotta scoot, TTFN

:bounce:

Carnflabbit! I lost my post. Why is it that sometimes you can start your post, go over to the wheel, and then back up to your post and it's there, and other times it's not!?!?!?! Grrrrr.

In any event, as I was saying  , I'm glad that llebrekniT had a safe and healthy trip. And I hope it snows in Kentucky when she gets back.
:teeth: ;)

I just finished writing out a little something on all the postcards. I even doodled a Bichon on each one. :cutie: :crazy2: I think it's about ready to go. Or should I throw in some candy or something? Hmmmmmm.

Hello all...long time no see!

Well I was on line so with a little prompting (Ohanafamily) I thought I'd drop by with a little greeting!

Our trip to the world is still on for the end of July, six nights at POR, it's all paid for...now I just need to figure out a way to come with spending money for the trip...ah the challenge of living beyond your means!!!

I hope all are well...my giant family is great and I wish I could stop by more often.

You kids take care.

Riku

Hi Rikku! It's great to hear from you. Enjoy your trip in July. Heck, you only live once.

QOTD: Which old tv show would you want in DVD form?

For me it's a mix of Beauty and the Beast(just not season 3),Newsradio and C-16
