HEY .....guess who showed up in my dream last night? Yes, another celebrity sighting....this time it was the one, the only....

ohanafamily.....or it was Wayne Knight portraying ohanafamily? Don't worry RRBB, not THAT kind of dream. He was helping me hang pictures and fix up some stuff around the house !?! See, he's even a great guy in dreamland.

Oh I'm not worried. But you should be. If you think ohanafamily would be good at hanging pictures on your walls, be prepared for a few extra holes. I've yet to see him hang anything where there wasn't already a nail or hook. (Okay, that may be a little harsh. He did hang the clock and phone base in the office. But other than that... let's just say the house was decorated before I met him and I KNOW he didn't have anything to do with putting up any of the pictures.)

ibouncetoo, Catal was very good food! It was funny...Brian is a vegetarian, and I don't normally mention it when we order, but something made me mention to our waitress that he as a strick veggie and asked to ensure there was no meat products in his meal. (I know fancier restaurants tend to toss in little bits of meat or broth into dishes without mentioning it on the menu).

He ordered the trio of olives and I ordered a grilled apsaragus salad. hen his olives came out, lo and behold, proscutto in one of the three marinades! The waitress laughed and said she thought that it had no meat, so didn't mention that one to the chefs (she did note to them about the entree). Once we got him a ne olive dish, we both really enjoyed the appetizers. They had great flavor combinations!

For entrees, I had anted to chef meal, but they had sold out for the night, so I chose the steak with mushroom-wine glaze, mashed potatoes, spinach and fried onion rings on top. Brian selected goat cheese stuff ravioli in a lemon-butter sauce ith pine nuts and some oter stuff on top.

When the meals came out, they put my meal in front of me, and I think it was lamb in front of Brian. Hrm...They really wanted him to eat some meat! So, after they brought out the right tables food, the meal wwas really delicious. I do warn, that if you are a steak snob, like me, they actually do cook to the correct levels, unlike most restaurants. I prefer rare meat, and most places rare means raw and medium-rare means rare, so I stopped ordering rare and just stick ith the medium-rare. Well, that backfired on me in this case, but it as delicious, nonetheless.

We did not get dessert...We were both tired and full and decided to skip it.

Over all, the service was good, our waitress was very friendly and we enjoyed the food...The ravioli was incredibly good! We did find it to be pricey, but overall, we would go back.

HTH

Hi all. Just confirming the package did go out. So did the envelope for shipping.

I say llebrekniT is MK Crystal Palace. That's my guess.

Good Afternoon...

I now have first hand experience that 13 year old boys really now how to eat, I fear this is just a warm up for the rest of the teen years.... We ordered pick up pizza from Lou Malnati's.. a truely wonderful pizza place. We ordered 3 large cheese deep dish pizzas for the 6 boys and 1 spinach mushroom onion for me and DH.

They ate 2 pizzas in one sitting and finished the root beer. Luckily Lou's was late so they gave us another pizza becasue we had to wait..

DH went to the store to get more Root Beer.. The boys then ate the triple batch of chocolate chip brownies, ice cream, 2 boxes of girl scout cookies.. They were wrestling and playing game cube games and computer games all night... At one point during the night they finished off the rest of the pizzas and root beer plus a gallon of milk..

At 5 am, DH went downstairs and told them it was bed time.. they slept until 9 am.. ate waffles and OJ and milk..

Everyone had a good time... but it will be an early night for us tonight. Geoff had to go to a friends right after the boys left to finsh the video project that is due on Tuesday, so when he gets home I imagine he will sleep for the rest of the day..

Thanks for being concerned about me . The boys are seemed very nice from what i saw of them.... This is the first time that we have had kids here that my kids just meet. In our school district 7th grade is JR High, so geoff is in class with kids from 3 other schools other than the one that he went to. So all of the boys except one was someone we had never meet. Most of the boys that my kids have been friends with , they met in pre-school or kindergarten..

Interestingly, only 1 parent called to talk and to get to know us before she let her son come over, the rest just dropped them off...good thing we aren't ax murderers...pirate:

Thank you everyone who has gone to the effort for our swap. I just heard some adults (who shall remain nameless) "Discussing" whether or not we would be doing this again; Mrs. Nameless suggested that it will be a while. While we can afford this luxury, some of our members may not be able to do these things again too soon. Mr. Namelss insisted that we will host a Secret TAGLIKINS swap for the holidays.

As I said before, Thank you all, I know that this swap wound up being a little more expensive than you may be comfortable with.
Don't get TOO worked up about it, Nephosaurus. I think a lot of us figured with as chatty as this group is, a lot of folks were bound to sign up for the swap :) Plus, with the suggested limits, it lets folks keep things in budget (except for those of us who always go overboard...but that's a personal decision, and noone will be upset with those who can manage to stay within budget :) )

I think a holiday swap would be fun.

Also, if folks want to swap before then, you might think about limiting the number of participants per swap....like state ahead of time $3 limit, 11 person limit, so folks would know from the outset the max would be $30. We could even run 2 at the same time to accomodate more than 11....just an idea if folks are worried about budgets next time it comes up :)

Deadheadbelle just sent you the world's longest PM,,,sorry, but you asked!

Hey Depplyinluv, I have crophy from a baby pageant. I was crowned "Supreme Crown Princess" when I was 2 or 3 for the Soroptimist Club. The thing was, title was based on the number of tickets sold in your name not how pretty or talented you were. I have no idea who signed me up, though cuz no one in my family was a member. They actually created my title special for me that year. Usually they only crowned a King and Queen. I didn't have enough tickets in my name to be Queen but blew away the rest of the competition for honorable mention or something. The crophy I won was almost as tall as I was. :teeth:

 thats an interesting name for an award...lol

cheeringmom: ill try to scan some baby pics of me MAYBE! but only if my scanner is working, and i cant promise anything....

dang nabbit, they got rid of my signature again! I will never learn...i think that's the 5th time...:o

Good night buds. We are off in the am to visit VA Tech and JMU and maybe throw in VCU b/c they have a great Mass Communications program. Hoping Sam will pick the cheapest college. Will be back on Wed. Have a great next couple of days. Promise to get package in mail when I return. BTW, the cherry blossums were in full bloom. Beautiful today but chilly!!:

I saw Scooby Doo 2(but will see it agin with DBF).It was silly and a good time(and yes I was drooling over Seth Green the whole time;) )

Hello All From San Antonio...

They have a nice hookup here, I am watching Cinderella meet Prince Charming with my 2 Dear Neices. Nieceosaurus is having an argument with a cousin, and Nephosaurus is ducking for cover...

DW went with her sister for a walk, DBIL is watching Basketball.

Me, I am on the Dis...

Good night all...

:bounce:

Well, GaTech won their game (GO JACKETS!!) so DH is happy, but Duke lost, so he doesn't get the all-ACC final he was hoping for. Oh well, GT's already beat UConn once this year, so here's hoping they'll do it again!!

Hit the sale at the Disney store today. Got T's for the family to wear to WDW....not identical, but my Minnie is grey, DH's Mickey is grey, DD's Minnie is blue-grey, and DS's Mickey is blue-grey, so they should look good in pictures! I poke fun at our friends who dress alike (same parkas, same boots, same pj's) but I'm doing it for this vacation. Our pics from December was just so off....the backgrounds were too busy and then everyone was in something different so it looked disjointed. So we're doing the matchy-matchy thing (BUT ONLY ON VACATION!!) Anyway....

I'm also going to try to do the Mickey tie-died shirts. Anyone here tried that?

Headed to the theatre tomorrow with DD to see Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse. Anyone with a young DD may recognize the title...cute story....hope it's good in play form :) Then *hopefully* off to get the last item for our swap. DH forgot it all last week while he was on base, and won't be there at all this week (will be at another base across town) so I have to make the trek myself  He must think I have lots of extra time on my hands....

Well off to bed. I just remembered I'm LOSING an hour of sleep. YIKES!! No WONDER noone is still "on board" tonight!! UGHH!

{{sets out a lovely breakfast of chocolate pancakes with chocolate and caramel syrups, chocolate dipped strawberries, made-to-order omelettes, and Frunch....it will **MAGICALLY** stay at the appropriate temps until everyone is ready for breakfast :) }}

Made it safe and sound to S.A. Sleepy, going to bed, lots to do tomorrow. sweet dreams everyone.

oh, we stopped at the Airport store for Swap Postcards on the way in.

I want to go to sleep... I have to go to sleep.... and here I am watching Buffy and typing on the 'puter.
