Hey there Ohanafamily, sorry I haven't had the chance to respond to you. Thank you again, so much, for sending me the PM with your offer of assistance. I haven't had any opportunity to fiddle with my computer yet simply because I haven't been home most nights this week.

I was, however, able to sit and chat with our IT folks. They seem to think it'd be an easy fix. Because I have all the disks for the software I had loaded, and I don't care about any documents, etc... on the harddrive, they are going to load a new Windows program and tell me how to reinstall my drivers. I think it will be ok but can I still use you as a back up if I make everyting go wrong?

As for the QOTD, I don't have a fancy cel phone cover because there aren't any options. My phone is one of those fancy schmancy sliders, I love it. But it does play the theme to Psycho when my friends call! And Mickey Mouse Club March when Joe gives me a ring.

Cadbury'smom, well I know I couldn't do a drunk driving case as I am a big 12 stepper so I don't think I could be very partial. I know the town where I have to go right near the court house it the street is completely flooded so I'm hoping I don't have to go, but actually I think it would be kinda interesting to get on a trial. Though I wish the DA was like Sam Waterston on Law and Order. Oh I would like to be questioned by him!!

ohanafamily Thanks for clearing that up. I'm always taking offense at people that want you to do things on their schedule. They mean well and surely they don't realize that they should mind their own business but I stupidly hurt my sister's feelings when I would constantly ask her about starting a family 'cause I was high on being a momma. She finally stopped talking to me for a time because she couldn't get me to understand that it just wasn't what she wanted. Now I get it. Sorry if I misunderstood your situation at all. Okay, I'll zip my lip.

Ok, so I'm posting to myself today....but that's okay cause I'm kinda enjoying it...

.....gotta leave in a little bit to take DS to his grandmother's for the weekend. They are attending the local "Shad Festival"......a festival for a small fish......do any of you have Shad Festivals near you? This is something the "other" side of the family celebrates so I don't know all the details.....all I know is there's a parade, some rides and lots of greasy fried fish.......DS has a great time, which is all that really matters......they also wear t-shirts that say "Eat Mo Shad"....it's a small town thing if you get my drift......

I've always kinda had a thing for Sam Waterson although he has a slight twitch or something that has always bothered me.....can't put my finger on it though.....he used to be on a TV show where he was a Southern widower with two children, kinda like Atticus Finch, and I had a big crush on him then......

gotta run pick up my little man-cub from school...they get out early today cause of Spring Break next week......wish we coulda done WDW but it just didn't work out........ guess I'll just have to live vicariously thru [COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR] for the next few days.....

QOTD: My youngest was a month old when my number came up for jury duty. I would've turned it down except it was Federal and they pay travel plus feed you. I packed up my Evenflo pump and went to Johnstown. Drove there and back for two days, ate fairly decent food, and was bored out of my skull. They settled the case and I got a check.

I was actually foreman of a jury once...it was a case where a cop was told there were some kids causing trouble in a Van, he pulled up next to it in the parking lot and they started opening fire on him (automatic weapons) they took off, he followed. They hit a tree and scattered. The officer shot one of them in the leg. I was on the jury where he was suimg the policeman and city for the damage done to his leg...we gave him NADA

I was on another case where this 24 year old man was dealing drugs, and the officers busted him. the evidence was in a tree stump. His Momma was crying, h busted his parole but he was a good boy. He had a current GF, a couple of previous GFs, and about 10 kids. Real High Class person. (Guilty)

I disqualified myself from a jury when a Yankee Lawyer fell in a bathtub (in one of the nicest old hotels in Dallas) and had a camera crew there in less than an hour. A few years ago they redid the hotel bathtubs with non-slip tubs. I am a member of their "Club" (free room a year, dining discounts), so I told them I had stayed there (in an outside voice) and I never had that problem. I don't know the outcome, but I hope he didn't win.

Case 1:
Kid gave cops false identity and was in patrol car with another person. Small bag of crack rock found in police car, where suspect was sitting. HOWEVER, other suspect had to slide across the seat to get out. Couldn't get prints off the baggie. Could have been either one of theirs. One day trial.
Convicted of Misdemeanor Falsifying Identity to Police
Dismissed Possesion of Illegal Drugs
Deliberation 30min.

Case 2:
Brutal Murder over $20 worth of crack. He, and 2 cousins, beat a man to death with a lead pipe after chasing him all over town. Victim crashed, was barricaded in the truck and beat to death in the head with lead pipes the guy pulled from the back of the victims truck. Broke out windows to beat him in the head and all. One week trial and I was pregnant (7mo's) with Tye.
Convicted of Felony Murder with Intent
Convicted of Premeditated Murder
Convicted of Dealing Cocaine with Intent to Sell
Deliberation.......1 hr 30min.

I am a jury pro.

Talked to [COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR] a few minutes ago. She, Holly & Ella were shopping at Ariel's shop. Dan & Daniel were riding RnR. I told her about my QOTD having to do with us all being jealous of them. She said the weather is beautiful, but the lines are really long. Ariel was a 1 hour & 10 minute wait. They have just been picking a couple of rides they want to ride & then doing a lot of people watching. They are having a great time, but she hopes the crowds will be less in October.
