Good Morning All!

I had a wonderful post all made up and POOF! away it went. Gave me that "you are unregistered" page again. I fixed it though.

I got myself cookied. Yep, that's just what I did.

Thanks so much for the wonderful breakfast geffric. (I love eating here. At my house all I get is a grapefruit and some apple slices.)

to do today. Me to the dentist then to go get my baby from K. Then him to the dentist then home. Then after school, oldest to All City Band practice then youngest to library. Then pick up oldest and take him back to school for B-ball practice. Then (cross your fingers) I may make it back in time for CSI. If it's as gory as it was before I'm putting POTC in the DVD player and eating some lowfat popcorn. (Weight Watchers isn't as bad to follow as Atkins was - I had the worst headache with that one

couldn't stay on it.) I just hate writing down every stinking little thing I eat and then try to figure out the points. Sheesh!

Hi - I am trying to stem the tide of a certain someone saying bad things about friendship threads that I am thoroughly embarrassed to even be associated with because I have a post on the same page. So... I am stopping by here because I lurk with you guys often. You are all a great group of people and make me smile often.

Something I try to do whenever I'm writing a long post - sometimes forget though - is to hightlight whole post and copy it (CTRL-C) before previewing and/or posting it. That way if I get bumped off all I have to do when I get back in is to paste (CTRL-V) and voila', there it is again without having to retype. Just a suggestion for all you that are having problems with posts these days.

Good Morning! I made a vow to try and keep up daily! It only took around 15 minutes to read all the posts from last night. Whew! Still trying to figure out where I am in this huge place. Where is the scrapbooking room? I am going to check out the island a bit today and then head over to see a movie at Downtown Disney.

Anyway, just did a bit of research and made some phone calls. I found out that after airfare, hotel, car rental and event tix, my 20th h.s. reunion is going to put us back about $1000!

And that doesn't even include any food!!! Holy toledo!

But we're going. I can't wait. Can you imagine the conversations? "Hey! You were a beauty queen back in school. You got kinda.... ummmm... well, nevermind... Hey! I'm gay! I win!"

Rick, what fun! Ancient DIS'er that I am, I just had my 30th last October north of Chicago. It was the best one yet. Where and when is yours? Whewweee.... I can't wait to hear stories from you after you get back! Hope it's worth every penny. If not, we may have to start a "pay Rick back for the crappy trip" fund, or something like that!

I am definitely looking forward to it. Joe didn't come with me for the 10 year so this should be interesting.

The 20th is in mid June down in Florida. Jacksonville to be precise. I went to high school in Orange Park.

Can't wait to introduce folks to Joe. All of my close friends have met him and love him. But those fringe folks and others that I haven't seen in 10 or 20 years will be interesting. LOL!

Rick I want a full report on the reunion. My 20th was last November and it was fun most people were very friendly but it's funny the people you weren't very friendly with in HS I've discovered most of the time was that you had nothing in common. Of course certain clicks were still the same but overall fun.

Rick I hope you get a great reception. Finding people's true lives through reunion is completely commonplace at mine. I went to a girl's boarding school.

Actually, when I went to my 10th, I had a blast. It was pretty surreal though. I had always thought that I was a normal kid, never really involved in the "popular" cliques at all. I knew them, but never really went out of my way to socialize too much with them. And I also knew the stoners, the nerds, the jocks. Didn't really associate with any one clique at all.

What I thought was pretty surprising was every time I turned around at my 10th, folks who I barely recognized kept asking me to sit at their table, chat, catch up, get a drink, and on and on.

I even mentioned it to a couple of the former "popular" folks how odd I thought it was. They all just laughed. They'd always thought I was one of the popular ones! Who friggin' new?

If I were so popular, don't ya think I'd have known???

Oh man, you are cracking me up. So true, so true - just goes to show you that everyone in high school, even those you thought were too cool, have self-esteem issues.

I am going to hop one of those boats back off of this island (heading to FtW, my home away from home), thanks for welcoming me, and I'll see anyone who wants at dinner (totally looking forward to dining with the dragons).

It's got great natural lighting, 360 degree views, lots and lots of room to store our supplies. And best of all, there's already a huge table in there so there's room for all of us to spread out and not have to put our work away when we take a break.

I've never made it to any of my high school reunions. My father died the weekend of my 10 year - not that I was planning to go anyway. And I never got any info about my 20th. Oh well, I wasn't all that close to anyone at my high school anyway. I was in and international youth group so most of my friends in high school were scattered around the country and world. I was a great pen pal back then. My best friend at my high school was from Japan, kind of an exchange student but not through the exchange program. She came to town a few days early for our 10th so we could get together. Unfortunately I've totally lost track of her now.

iluvtink where did you go to HS, north of Chicago.. ?? I am from the south side of the city.. but we live in the burbs now..


RRBBI put my scrapbook stuff on the table by the north end.. Notice how neat it is.. that's cause i have finished last year, not started this year's scouts.. but I am waiting to start the cruise book when i get back.... only taking 4 disposible water cameras, my digital with 3 128 mg cf and one 64 mg for back up plus the 35mm and 5 rolls of film.. maybe I shoudl take the advantix too???

Hs reunion .. not interested.. I still am friends with several of my girl friends from grade school and hogh school.. don't need to see any of the others..
