Hey, I lied! I'm still here! :teeth: I hope oddball knows that I'm just kidding her too.

Okay, now I'm out of here for real! :p

I assume Mr. HuggaBaloo will re-join us when he has settled.

No, he's going to WDW in his spare time, why would he want to chat with us? ;)

And ICE CREAM. EVERY DAY. PLEASE!
A man after my own heart! Our "health nut" neighbors come over every weekend for TV night on Saturday. We trade off buying/cooking dinner, but they always raid my freezer 'cause they know I've always got at least 3 different kinds in there (and that doesn't include any "plain" varieties. If I'm doing a pie or something, I buy some good vanilla bean but otherwise, it's all got "stuff" in it!)

So any of you have an ice cream place called Marble Slab? Maggie Moo's? Cold Stone Creamery? They're all basically the same and have some of the best ice cream and min-in's around!! YUM!! If you haven't tried one of them, you simply must! DH prefers something fruity...key lime ice cream with chopped strawberries mixed in. Me, I go for peanut butter ice cream with chocolate chips, or cinnamon ice cream with chopped Heath bar, or chocolate ice cream with a big spoon of peanut butter and chopped Reese's mixed in, or cheesecake icecream with fresh raspberries and white chocolate chips....

If I didn't feel so rotten, I'd go fix some....but I'm afraid I might've re-caught what my kids have (that I gave them last week) so I'm going to go pour myself a big cup of Pept and call it a night! (Can't believe that myself...I'm usually on until 1am....but when you feel bad, you feel bad!)

Nite all....

OMG, OMG, OMG!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc You are my soul sister. I was waiting to read the rest of the board before I answered this QOTD, but I can't wait.

My worstestest job?

KFC! :teeth: Back when it was Kentucky Fried Chicken -- not KFC or Kitchen Fresh Chicken. 1983 to 1985. $3.40 an hour. My neighbors loved me when I brought them boxes of chicken. ::yes::

OMG OMG OMG!!! Same here - $3.40 an hour 1984 - 1985! This is tooooooo freaky! We're like chicken sisters or something. Wait, there's gotta be a better name for us than that.

The good thing was that they hired me when I was 15 and I was only allowed to take orders, fill drinks, get the biscuits out of the oven but NEVER put them in the oven. No chicken cookin' for me.

help,it's WW3 right now.I make one little mistake and everyone decides to scream(I escaped a shouting match).I jumped the gun on one little thing and looks what happens.Least DBF lets me vent on the phone every night(and he cares unlike some people)

I'm so sorry that you are so much pressure CourtasanSatine. I hope things look brighter for you in the morning. :grouphug: Sending you some positive thoughts and prayers.

Whew! Caught up on all the posts finally!

Questions of the day: Symphony Bar, Hershey w/Almonds.
No hired help stories....we did have the world's greatest school bus driver, part of our lives for 12 years. Just found out he's retired out here and my cousin who was in town for a few months just played golf with him...good to know he's still alive and well!
NEVER had a bad job....that's something to say for 35 years of working, isn't it? Just some occasional bad moments. My first job was working for Santa Claus!
In the '80's while you girls work working at KFC I was eating there....should I say OVER EATING there. I swear, I've consumed enough fried chicken (of any variety) to feed a small village for a decade! It is my VERY favorite food, and now I only have it without the skin....not quite the same :(
It's very late, and I have to finish getting ready for the invasion of my high school classmates tomorrow night. Friday off work and a road trip to Sedona! Yeah!

goodnight all

Good morning, TAGLIKINS!

I've got about 7 pages to read to catch up after my DDs go to school and I help in the art room, so I'm dropping breakfast and I'll be back. How about some swiss almond hot chocolate, chocolate chip pancakes, ham and cheese omelettes, and some Cadbury creme eggs? Oh, and lots of hot coffee, of course to get us through the a.m.

Have a good one. Hope everyone is great!

CourtasanSatine, hang in there girl!

The trip to the doctor's office last night was really horrible for Ella. The doctor examined her and really couldn't find anything wrong except for her obvious symptoms. Since she has been sick for 10 days straight, she thought it best to error on the side of caution. She had listened to her lungs and thought there might be a little wheezing sound on one side, so she sent us over to the hospital for x-rays and blood work.

This was the awful part. First they had to draw blood and they did it through her tiny little baby finger. Two vials, which took about 5 minutes of holding her down and squeezing her little finger. All the while she cried and squirmed and of course I had to let them do this and it was so hard when she's looking at me to get her out of there.

Next came the x-ray which was quite a bit quicker, but by then she was so scared of everything happening to her. She had to sit against this cold metal thing with her shirt off and I had to hold her in position with her arms out to the sides while the technician took the pictures. She screamed so loud and hard. I've never had to torture one of my babies like that. I know it's not real torture and so many children go through things like this and worse, but that doesn't make it any easier.

The doctor looked over the xray and saw an area that looked like the beginning stage of pneumonia, but we have to wait until the radiologist comes in to confirm it. She went ahead and started her on antibiotics last night, just in case.

I gave her the antibiotic and she threw up about an hour later. The vomiting doesn't concern the doctor, she said it's normal for babies to throw up from all the drainage. Again, doesn't make it any easier to go through, every single night for 10 days now.

Sorry for the rant guys. I'll let you know when I hear the results.

Wanted to say good morning before I go back and try to catch up.

Kismetdreams what a beautiful picture of the two of you, congratulations.

llebreknit I hope Ella is feeling better. I know what you mean about the drawing blood part.

Good morning everyone and Welcome Home Kismetdreams. That's a beautiful picture, you were a beautiful bride. I love hearing wedding stories so you'd better not keep us in suspense too long. So how does it feel to be MRS. now?

Oh llebrekniT, poor little Ella. That must have been torture getting those tests done, and even moreso for you than her. I'm sure you're already sprinkling it on her, but add in a little more PD from me.

PD to you too, kadaten. I hope you feel better soon.

I don't know if that is more terrible or drawing blood from someone her age, they have to PIN THEM DOWN.

Welcome back MRS. Kismetdreams, you were stunning in your dress. I absolutely LOVE it!!!!:earsgirl:

I was the Easter Bunny at the mall before. It was a great job kids loved me and photos were great, but yeah Bichon Barb that photo is creepy. I thought that instantly, but let RickinNYC get creeped out and am enjoying it. :teeth: I was also Santa's helper at Christmas time. Took the photos.

For all the sickens out there:wizard: !

I have something else to say.............NEVER worked FAST FOOD!
