Hi all...

Been lurking but not posting, just wanted to keep up! Abbie was feeling better today so we made it to her year end picnic She loved giving her teachers their gifts....we made sugar cookies and cut out all the letters and numbers (cool ABC and 123 sets from Williams-Sonoma!) and she'd decorated ALL of them...got to stay up late to do it, even She was so proud

Company's finally gone and I'll have my house back for a month or so But DH is gone for most of that time, too Two 11 day trips with only 2 days in between....yuck. But could be worse, since he's only going out for training and then to Scotland....

Watched the Reagan service in Simi Valley tonight. It was a very touching service and appropriate. I, who usually bawl at these kinds of things, managed to hold it together (mostly) until Nancy went up to kiss the coffin for the last time after they removed the flag. She just broke down, not wanting to leave, not wanting to say that final good-bye, and I really felt for her. He was truly the love of her life and even though he's already been gone for many years now, the physical loss will be hard to bear

And for me, military services just seem to do me in....it hits a little close to home.....get lots of those "there but for the grace of God go I" kinds of thoughts...yuck.

On a happier note....hmmm....gotta think up something positive to end this....hmmm....it's storming, there are tornado warnings about (not in my area, but close).....lots of rain....our A/C unit is acting up and I'm in for at least $85 for the service call.....DH is gone so I gotta do it all myself.....

UMMMMM.....I know! We have absolutely NO responsibilities tomorrow so we can just play and have a lazy day! There! That's happy

Hi all, up late watching TV. It is a sad night. I had to go and check on our lock-smith at one of the stores, then I took him to dinner. Home to watch more of the Reagan funeral...Now I am on the Tag. I will post more DVC stuff tomorrow, gotta get some sleep, and up early tomorrow.

Well, I'm finally home from work......stopped at Mimi's Cafe for some cobb salad and a couple of tasty dinner rolls (shhhh, don't tell the Atkins police!).

Didn't have a lot of posts to catch up on today.....where is everybody? I see some of you on line right now......up kinda late aren't you?

Some things I forgot to respond to earlier:

ohanafamily......enjoyed the DVC numbers running. I think it makes a great deal of sense for a family. I keep nudging PixieMagic into it.....but it doesn't seem to make sense for a single, especially when she will often just priceline a resort and doesn't need the extra space. Although, last Nov when we stayed at my time share, she sure liked having separate bedrooms and a full kitchen......so maybe another visit in the time share in Oct will just be the nudge she needs! I told her I want to 'visit' with the DVC people in September

OK, here is the deal, the Wonka Bars are safe. I have them hidden. I am leaving a big pile in the kitchen for tomorrow.

I hid them before we went to WDW. It was pointed out to me that the Chocolate Vault was no longer a safe place. Someone has been selling the combination on the internet!!!!!

I had my bath a couple of days ago. I put on some cologne, and hope I smell good for RRBB.

She loves me.

I think we will all listen to the Wishes CD from WDW.

I found a good spot to hide sweets too, but now that I want to bake I can't remember where I hid the boston creme cake mix...searched the kitchen, bedroom (things sometimes appear on NC Beast's side of the room mysteriously), closets, and the other bedrooms....we only have x amount of hiding space. But, I have one chocolate source left in the house Don't tell NC Beast where the last of the Lindt chocolate is in the house.

NC Beast works until 9 am and he is mine until Tuesday night.

I've been trying to figure out how to post pics......and am cranky that the DIS gallery is still down because I've been told there's a way to take a pick from there and put it in a post.....but I can't TRY it! Nor can I figure out how to 'capture' one from the TAGLIARCHY color wheel and post it! ....cranky.....cranky.....I need a WONKA bar!

Breakfast in Danauk's fantasic gardens today. A delightful summer buffet of fresh fruits, pastries, and omelet station. For the carb. lovers there is a Belgian Waffle station manned by George Clooney. In other words, pick who you like to be your assistant/server at today's brunch if George Clooney does not do anything for you. But, please no J. Lo, C. Diaz, and Brittany Spears--they are too skinny and whiny. Guys--please no Jessica Simpson this weekend either---I'm tired of hearing about her this week and seeing her Pizza Hut commericals. I am flexible if you can show just cause in having them invited over for the day.

I forgot to answer a question yeterday about scotch pancakes. They are like regular pancakes only smaller and thicker:

. They are sweet as they have extra sugar in them and are nice with chocolate sauce or maple syrup

So what are peoples plans for today? I need to do some house work then Pete needs to make the box for the filter to stand on for the waterfall. Later we are volunteering at the theatre again. The show that was on last night was awful! I listened to about 5 songs and not were sung in tune. It was a shame as I know that several members of that society have good voices but they were just overshaddowed by the bad ones.

Oh, people who are Les Mis fans. I was asked to play in it next month (the school version anyway which is still the full version but some of the songs are cut shorter.) My friend is head of music at a local school where Pete used to work too. They are putting the show on and I'm betting it could rival a professional performance (their shows always do, the kids are amazing ) I was planning to go and watch it but it looks like I am in the pit band instead. Pete has been asked to play too which should be good. Aparently quite a few of the kids have been asking after him so it will be nice for him to see his ex students.

Oh well, I guess I better go and get ready for the day (I was woken up rather abruptly this morning by the postman delivering some books I have ordered to teach my class next year.)

Thanks Deadheadbelle and everyone else who sent their congratulations. I may need some PD on Monday though as we have the inspectors in and he is coming to watch my maths lesson. I'm not too bothered as last time he watched me he was very complimentary.

OK right now I am bored. I have been watching big brother all morning (this year big brother is evil and it is great!). It is really good right now. Last night the house mates thought 2 people were evicted (the 2 thought they were being evicted too.) But instead of going home they were taken to a secret bed sit where they will stay for a while and watch the house. They can listen in on conversations and can punish housemates at certain times. It is really funny as some people are really dropping themselves in it. Next week the 2 'evicted' housemates will go back into the main house to confront the people who they now know have been saying things about each other and about the 2 'evicted' girls!! It should be fun.

[COLOR=339900]ibouncetoo[/COLOR], what a lot of people do is to register at (Ssshhh don't tell anyone because they technically don't allow it) Imagestation.com you can upload your pictures there. Once you get your picture uploaded, you can view it and right-click on the picture (the large size one) and select properties. You can then copy the location and paste it into a Post. If you get close RRBB or I can usually show you where you went wrong....

OK, [COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR], did you get your baby-Picture Swap Prize? Nephosaurus picked them out special for the contest...He is a BOY DRAGON you know.

The Latest on RRBB? well, she got back at around 2:am, I had to talk her through a wrong turn off of the highway, (at 1:30+/- and I was asleep at the time...I used to work in that area) She is happily sleeping for another 30 minutes, then back to the scrap booking classes.

Our weekend plans? Well, after work I have to visit a store, my parents are being honored and I have to "Show My Face" My older brother (not the NP one) invited us to dinner with him and his Girl Friend (It seems that I am the only one who hasn't met her, and I refuse to judge her or tell him to get rid of her for religious reasons...Not my place or my business. I told him to be careful and stay protected). Tomorrow morning My mother asked me to come over at around 10:00 AM with RRBB to help her with her party next weekend. I haven't had the opportunity to tell RRBB yet, but I will sometime today. Tomorrow at 2:00 we are taking my Niece to see "Lords Of Dance" at the Summer Musicals (DB who is taking us out tonights DD). We were asked if we should take his son too, but I somehow don't think an 8YO boy who likes Guns and knives would appreciate the subtlety of a show where they do nothing but dance. We will make it up to him later.

Next weekend, after my parents party, RRBB wanted to get a room at the hotel and spend the night for our anniversary. I waited too long, and rooms aren't available any more. The hotel is 10 minutes away, and we will probably be leaving early anyhow. It seems that there is also a big Bar-Mitzvah in the hotel and several families from Mexico will fill the place up. I am hoping that we might be able to go the week after (Our anniversary is in the middle of the week.)

Oh well, I have ranted on long enough, and now I have to rush to work, so I'll be back with more in the new and improved DVC....

Well I'm busy washing Jordan's camp clothes while he returns to the normalcy of being home.........maybe we'll go see the newest Harry Potter movie later.......I've been dying to see it after hearing such mixed reveiws of it!
