I'm shooting for a 30 lb weight loss by the TAGLIARCHY Meet. Ambitious for 20 weeks, but I'm going for it!

Anyone else want to set a goal/take a challenge?

ohhhh, new clothes for vacation, YEAH!

Cheeringmom love your pics....I know you are proud of those good-looking children......and wow, what a beautiful wedding portrait...would never have noticed the pins if you hadn't mentioned them...were those flowers real or fake? When I had my portrait done, they gave me a fake bouquet to hold that looked different from the one I had on my wedding day...that always bothered me a little bit...it's the little things ya know ;)

Citations for :

geffric for wearing black jeans after Spring has officially arrived, and oh, by the way, after 1996.

BichonBarb'sDH for wearing socks with sandals. Look it's as easy as this. It's either warm enough to wear sandals or it's not. Simple choice. If you feel like you need socks then your next inclination should be to reach for your shoes, not your sandals.

geffric, yes paying for one college tuition at a time, then another, then another. We're looking at 15 straight years of tuitions. Lovely.

BackwardsTink!! THAT WAS SO FUNNY!!! 1996!!! *wipes tears*

Morning!!

Bichon Barb's DH replies:

I have gawky feet. Too long and narrow. They aren't nice like my wife's feet.

Bichon Barb replies:

Okay, now you know about my DH's foot fetish. It's true. If I have People's 100 Sexiest mag laying on the counter, he'll critique their feet--not their faces.

Go ahead, laugh. :o

One more thing--STOP LOSING WEIGHT FOLKS!!! I wasn't planning on dieting before the meet. But I don't want to be the only chubette there! Misery loves company, so just knock it off. ;)

Oh and good morning all. I'm back at work and just a little pooped.

I tried to read the previous posts but I can't! There are soooo many pages that I know I'd never catch up. Someone gimme a synopsis!

After all that talk yesterday about the cute Vera Bradley backpack that llebrekniT is sending me, I went to Target and guess what they have now.....Vera Bradley knockoffs!::yes:: It just doesn't seem right though....you'd think they'd have the idea patented or something:confused3 Anyway, I didn't get one cause it obviously wouldn't hold up thru one good rain shower, so I got this neat backpack sort of thingie that is lightweight and comfy....so now I'm all set to conquer WDW...HOORAY!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

I am a little sad though :( with all this talk of plane tkts and accomodations for the Oct meet, I really wish I could then too....oh, well...

I WISH my DH had a foot fetish...I love to have my feet rubbed! BUT, he's one of those "avoids feet at all costs and thinks they should come with socks and shoes permanently affixed" type people :( So I have to pay my pedicurist $45 to rub my feet

Uh....I resemble that remark. The chubette one, anyway :guilty: and no, I'm not planning on losing weight before the meet. I'm not trying to pick anyone up (especially the 3 divas...I'm not one of Rick's people!) and I plan on impressing you with my winning personality :teeth: NOT my skinny waistline...

But, GOOD LUCK to all you who are trying!

Hooray! RickinNYC is back....llebrekniT has desperately needed your help with her new self-titled position as the Fashion Police.....and black jeans are a BIG issue to her.....guess some of us are still dressing for the '80's!

cadburysmom You may wantt to give it a try. I got a knock-off at Marshalls or TJMaxx last year and it's held up VERY nicely ::yes:: Plus, since I only paid $15 for it, I don't stress out if it gets dirty! ::yes::

And, why DON'T you join us in Oct????

KADATEN, I think we married the wrong husbands, 'cause I don't like mine touched. I giggle when I get a pedicure. And I can't stand dirt or sand on my feet. Ewwwwwww.

RICK, VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!

1. black jeans -- a fashion staple or an atrocity from ten years ago?

2. Men wearing socks and sandals with pants -- Shoebee or European look.

3. Bags - copying a designer look -- Good for the masses or fashion no-no.

Do you think the knock-off would be good for WDW? It was a light blue and yellow pattern which I kinda liked but with the quilted fabric, I wasn't sure how it would hold up if it got wet. I think it was only $12.99 at Target so it is definitely a bargain!::yes::

Bichon Barb Take a look at my middle tag! I don't even like thong sandals that have the piece between the toes.....drives me nuts! I can't stand to have my feet touched in ANY manner, am extremely ticklish and have never, ever had a pedicure....I think feet are ugly and stinky in general and I feel so sorry for pedicurists who actually have to touch them all day long......yuuuuuuuck!!!

cadburysmom, can you wear thongs? (I mean like flip flops Rick!!!!) I can wear them for short periods of time, but they hurt too much.

Another pet peeve--dry feet in the winter. Did you ever have to put Vaseline on them and sleep with cotton socks? Ugh! I hate it when THAT happens.

But, I do confess that my feet really are cute. :snooty: They are not too big (size 7.5), and I have down hill toes. This means that my second toe is shorter than my big toe. :teeth:

I had a neighbor once whose middle toe was the longest. It always looked like his feet were flippin' the bird.

me too. I think that we should be foot models. I know mey feet are good looking enough. In fact, they are beautiful.

THE BEST LOOKING FEET AT THE TAGLIARCHY No doubt!! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_6_10.gif' border=0></a>

remember Hang Ten?? My feet!!

Ok, here's the deal with fashion per a friend of mine who's in the biz:

1. Black jeans are STILL ok.
2. Socks w/ sandals are NOT good EVER.
3. Knock off bags or look alikes - they're ok as long as the person doesn't try to tell everyone they're the real thing.

Happy? And yes, my friend is one of "my" people so that should lend a bit more credence. LOL!

Good morning I'm running a little late this am. Well I have a mommy brag. Had to take DS for blood work this am and he came through with flying colors. He even did the urine sample. He wasn't happy but he did it and they took quite a bit for the tests they want to run. I was so proud of him.

Now what is the deal with the feet talk. DS has a foot fetish, DH is a butt guy.

By the way, I do own two pairs of black jeans. One is a dark, dark black pair of Calvin Kleins which I don't wear anymore. The other is a strategically faded pair, very stressed in certain places, low rider type that I wear all the time.

Oh not to worry! I have WAY MORE THAN 30 CRUMMY POUNDS TO LOOSE! I just have to get going for health issues, so I thought I'd toss out a challenge, if anyone is interested. My goal for the meet is to be able to wear the XL t-shirts I bought at the outlet store last time. Plus, that marathon is creeping up and I MUST COMPLETE IT!

Off towork!
