Lewski, actually Daniel would look like quite a dweeb walkin' around WDW in a Peter Pan costume, but I'll certainly suggest that to him.

kadaten, my older two kids didn't say much until they were two. Ella is following suit pretty well. She just turned 17 months and says a few things, but mostly calls everything "dada". Today we were telling her to say "baby" and she kept saying "dada" and then Holly said say "Ella" and she spit it out clear as day, real loud. DH was in the basement and he even heard it from there. She said it again, two more times. Then, 5 minutes later, we tried to get her to say it and we got "dada" over and over.

Anyway, the older two talk me silly now so I try not to worry too much about it. 50 words sounds like a lot to me. Don't let them scare you, I seriously doubt he's that bad off. They're going to tell you stuff like it's because of the pacifier and blah, blah, blah. In the end, they'll probably want you to do therapy, because after all, that's how they make a living.

OK, I'm climbing down off my soap box now. Where's Barb when I need her?

What's Your Fantasy Island?!?!?!?!

Cool Quiz.............here's what I got.......

new_zealand.gif

New Zealand

Rugged. Adventurous. Both! When you head on vacation, your fantasy island is the wild and diverse country of New Zealand. A curious and courageous spirit, you don't need — or necessarily want — a lot of pampering when traveling. Not one to lounge on a beach chair most days, you seek out challenges (on holiday and off), especially when there's a chance to hone a new skill or test your mettle.

You tend to relax by doing — be it bungee jumping, hiking the backcountry, or hitting every museum a city has to offer. Like New Zealand's varied terrain — glaciers, beaches, cities, and mountains — you can entertain even the most rambunctious friends. For you, there's nothing better than letting go of convention and heading off toward a new, undiscovered sunset. Ramble on!

:teeth: ::yes:: :teeth:

I don't think I ever posted this one before. This is at Sci-Fi. Ever go there? We like going there for a late lunch. The reuben is yummy.

When the travel bug bites you, it's time to go learn a thing or two. And the educational opportunities and environmental focus of the Galapagos Islands make them a dream destination for an inquisitive soul like you. Sure, sometimes you sit on the beach all day or indulge in a massage, but you also seek out experiences that are invigorating to the mind, body, and spirit. Adventurous? You bet. Curious? Most definitely.

Here's my Fantasy Island:

The Florida Keys

Friendly folks, stunning sunsets, gorgeous beaches, fine dining — you know that there's no need to travel around the world to enjoy a fantasy island when the enchanting Keys and their many offerings — whether diving, shopping, or sport fishing — are so close.

Like the laid-back and inviting Keys, you are down-to-earth and lovable — traits that help others relax when they're around you. Simply put, you prefer to roll with the punches and make the best out of every situation — from airport layovers to lost credit cards. Your motto? Life is to be enjoyed, and enjoy it you will.

Well, I've already been there. What should I do now??

Loopy when did you stay at AKL? I've heard you mention it before. The pictures are really cute. Do you have a digital camera or do you get CD's when you develop?

Duh! Head to WDW as soon as possible!

Oh, and tell me where the heck my fantasy island is located?

I have to start packing up for the ballfield.

Hey, DHB, I am making TAGLIARCHY chili tonight using your chili mix and Mad4Mickey's beans. It smells yummy....

Have a great rest of the day everybody!:wave2:

First, Tickle.com is a lot of fun and can be addictive. Anyhow.......

What's Your Fantasy Island?

My fantasy island is Ibiza

Sure, the beaches are alluring. The water sports are a draw. But the reason Spain's exotic isle is your fantasy island is the social life, baby! For a fun and party-loving soul like you, vacations are all about letting your hair down, blowing off steam, and indulging your wild side. It's a buzz you're after, whether you find it jamming on a dance floor, hopping from bar to bar, or just enjoying the vitality and excitement of the city, Ibiza's clubs, casinos, and promenades have got you covered.

People, parties, crowds — either joining in or just watching, you thrive on feeling part of an energetic social scene. Like easy-going Ibiza, you're a free spirit who loves to take in every moment, especially when vacationing. Party on!

I think it's fairly accurate. Look out kadaten and Bichon Barb.

I dunno Lewski. Queens? Hmmm, wouldn't diva fit you better? Or, what's that word Barb uses to describe herself all the time? I know - hedonist!

You lead a sheltered life to not know about the Galapagos islands.

Where's ohanafamily??? This sounds like a question for him!

Actually, I think your Fantasy Island is off the west coast of South America, llebrekniT. We knew a couple whose kids were long grown (and so they had some money to spend for a change) and they flew into Peru (???) or maybe Ecuador (???) and took an educational boating excursion there.

I missed something... are we supposed to be answering an island QOTD?

Stalling for time whilst you google it?

:p

I don't spend enough time studying the atlas I suppose. I think I must've screwed up on the test to have been given an island I never even heard of before. Sounds a little, um, rugged and natural for my tastes. I told them I prefer a 4-star luxury resort, I don't think they were listening to me...

Before kids I stayed there, we just went over this last trip so I could show DH and we included it in a day of resort hopping/playing.

I use snapfish.com mostly then download on imagestation.com. But I do have a digital that isn't very good.

Did I miss much in the last couple of hours, Loopyliverlips or IgotasweetnewtagaddedonbecauseIamrealgood:D

Sweetie, I watch PBS and that's how I know about the islands. They are in Ecuador and have wonderful wildlife.

Here:
Squint your eyes at a map of the region and Ecuador looks something like a grinning skull, gazing across the Pacific at its lone 'overseas' holding, the blissfully distant Galápagos Islands. Owned by Ecuador since 1832, the far-flung islands are lauded as one of the world's greatest natural history treasures, their unique diversity of plant and animal life providing a living textbook for ecologists and oglers alike. It'll cost you plenty to get out to see them, but when you weigh that against the immense affordability of mainland adventuring and the rarity of the experience, you'll be hard pressed to let your purse strings tie you down.

Well I googled it myself and it's near Ecuador. One thing's for sure, they got alot of turtles there. Lots of pictures of turtles at the website.

Anybody wanna take a cruise with me?

There is no other way to enjoy the magic of the Galapagos Islands. This is a special and unique experience where you can witness the beauty of Galapagos while hiking the trails as you admire the most complex flora & fauna on earth.
Our Galapagos cruises will let you admire flightless cormorants birds that have lost their ability to fly and penguins at the equator line. And other species that are endemic to this paradise.
