I have a new QOTD to add before I go.

This morning while I had no cable or internet I started going through stuff for our garage sale. I found two pairs of BLACK jeans that I put away about 8 years ago. They fit now, finally, but I want nothing to do with them. One pair is even Guess?! Isn't that funny? They are quite vintage.

How many of you still have black jeans in your wardrobe and go on and fess up if you're still wearing them?
Um, I never knew they went out of style.......

Awww...shucks! Glad I was missed ::yes::

As for the black jeans....I still own a pair, but I haven't fit in them for several years now....was just pondering whether to put them in our garage sale....are they passe now? I didn't even realize....

I have one black pair of jeans that I wear proudly when the weather gets cold!! And I didn't know they went out of style either!
CALL THE FASHION POLICE!! I'M UNDER ARREST

QOTDs:

I have 1 pair of black jeans--2 sizes too small and never worn--I use it as incentive & it was a clearance item plus 30% associate discount.

I do dream about TAGLIKINS--well it is mostly NC Beast in those dreams.:p

I have different night attire which is determine by mood and other factors.

I was not in Raleigh shopping yesterday--I was in Knightdale and Clayton. We do not stalk--gas is too expensive to do that.

Stupid question but I gotta ask it.....I know, I know, I should go to the theme park board but I'm too lazy....

What do you use to carry your stuff around while doing the parks? Last time we had a stroller so that took care of it all. I'm considering a fanny pack or small back pack but does anyone else have any other ideas?

NC Belle I forgot to order DIS buttons last week so I made one of my own...who else but me would be weird enough to already have lime green paper :p I'm hoping I can take it to Crabtree and have one of the cart vendors make it into a button for me, you know, the cart that takes your picture and can put it on mugs, plates, tshirts, etc....please don't laugh when you see it

Jordan has tryouts for the Challenge soccer team this afternoon up at the soccer center off Capital Blvd. While I'm up that way, I'll probably do some last minute shopping at Triangle Town Center....one of my babysitters got some really cute capris on sale at the Ann Taylor Loft there and I just HAVE to have a pair :teeth:...sure hope I don't get lost again

I am bringing a small backpack and a wallet. I need to carry my hat, sunscreen, ponchos, umbrella, eyeglass case (oh I forgot to say that I wear prescriptions-so look for a cute couple-1 plus size geek with glasses-1 tall and big guy with smiles), and some other stuff. I will alternate between digital and disposable cameras too.

Ok girls. Time to wake up and look at some current catalogs or take a look around the mall. Nobody is selling black jeans. What does that tell you?

Not at the The Gap.

Not at Old Navy.

None at Banana Republic.

Nope, not at J. Crew.

I don't even think I've seen any hanging in Wal Mart in a while, but I'll have to double-check that one.

Geesh, I can't believe you didn't know.:(

Mine haven't fit since about 1995. That's quite a while ago. I'm selling them in the garage sale next weekend.

Betcha a redneck buys them.

Triangle has lot of maps---Barnes & Noble is like in the center by the California pizza kitchen. Lindt is downstairs near the waterfall I think. Isn't Anne Taylor Loft close to where Saks is going to open. I think the two end big stores are Hecht's and Dillard's. Am I close--and I didn't use the map that is available online.:teeth:

Here you go cadburysmom, this will work just fine.

Evening all, You guys have been chatty again!
I had a great 'disney' day at school. I decided that my class could do some extra art as a treat seen as they did well in their exams. So I took in my How to draw the lion king book I bought at MGM. It shows you step by step how to draw the characters. Anyway the kids loved it and their art work was really good. So I am going to put it on display around the school. I orderd the Brother Bear book and Monsters inc too so they can do some more Disney art after our week break next week.
So what plans do people have for this evening? I have my classes reports to write  I hate doing them!! They take ages and as our parents are not the most literate people so we have to choose our words carefully.
I guess I should get on with it!!

You send it to me and I PROMISE to wear it...pretty darn cute too!

NC Belle Well, you sound really skinny so when you said you had switched over to CSR, I was nervous about you seeing my chubby self in a bathing suit by the pool, so if you walk up to me and you're skinny and wearing some skimpy two-piece number, I'm gonna strangle you right then and there!:p :teeth:

Oh, and speaking of chocolate, I don't know much about Triangle Town Center but must confess I knew EXACTLY where you were referring to when you said Lindt....great minds, huh! ::yes::

Gotta run so I can sit and wait in the carpool line...only 4 more days til summer vacation! :hyper: :sunny:

I always have a backpack that's quick access. My favorite is a Pooh one that has a drawstring top and 2 small zip pockets on the front. The top is actually a pain to open, but it has a zipper on the back that I can even reach without taking the thing off. It's leather, so it protects everything on water rides. I just put the strap around my ankle if we're on the R'n'R or TOT just in case. It'll hold our wallets, small purchases, 2 water bottles, snacks, ponchos, sunscreen, DH's hat, whatever....

I would carry a small back pack too and put my legs through the straps when I go on rides.

Oh, I have some black jeans too (although they don't fit at the moment - I really need to get back on my diet!) They are a pair of black levis (I only ever wear levis or CK jeans - I'm a bit of a lable freek I'm afraid!)

Here are my favorite jeans (back when I was skinny anyway) STILL available at gap.com.

But I'll give you that they're not in the stores. I haven't worn them in awhile so I guess I haven't embarassed myself yet. :guilty: And, I only wore them in cold weather...with swetters, turtlenecks, etc. They were like cords....only out in the fall/winter.

Absolutely perfect for the perfect (Southern) DIS-er!

Cute! Color-coordintated to the DIS! Great size! Fashionable, too!!

Is that a new pattern this year? I haven't seen that one! I have the old red bandana looking pattern in a medium sized purse, and some of the old navy paisley luggage. Both gifts...LOVE the red purse, wish I had more! Paisley luggage is a bit boring, but easier to find than a black suitcase ::yes:: in a group of luggage! Mom had it, decided she liked the new Jasmine line better, so gave me the paisley stuff. Not up on the names....sorry....

HI..cadburysmom and kadaten

It took a while for us to adjust to NOT having a stroller to carry all the stuff..for a while i kept telling DH that we should still take the stroller just for the stuff LOL..

anyway, we have gone through various combinations and permutations for carrying stuff.. We have a backpack for the sun screen, snacks, ziplock bags for the camera and wallets wile we go on water type rides. We have the rain ponchos, we use them for insulation for the water bottles. We each carry one water bottle on a strap, the rest are in wrapped in the ponchos to keep them cool.

If i fanny pack it them , we don't have anywater.. and that is NG no good in the summer..
