I never even know if we drop to page 2. I always go right to my UserCP, to see what's new on the threads I post on and to check for PM's. BTW anybody notice they increased the allowable length for PM's? Used to be 3000 characters, now it's 7000!

Good morning all,
As usual breakfast is on the table - pancakes, pasteries and juice today, plus coffee is in the pot.
I really can't be bothered with work today. End of year exams start on Monday and I am trying not to stress my kids out (they are only 7-8 after all) but we have to go through how to answer the questions and what they have to do today (it is not really that interesting to do!). But then we can do art all afternoon which they like.

Does anyone have any plans for today? I'm not sure what I will do this evening. I think I might practice for my Sound of Music audition on Sunday, plus I am playing in the orchestra for another show the week after next and we have band rehearsal for that on Sunday too, so I guess I should look at my music and have a practice!

I guess I better go and feed the bunnies and get to work.

Good morning,

Am I up first up after our early bird Danauk? Thanks, as always. Your time zone makes us all fortunate that you like to cook!

I'm up because when Kelley and I got in the car to go to school at 6:55 my van battery was dead. I left all of the overhead lights on in it last night. And DH is still in Phoenix. Normally I go right back to bed until Katie gets up at 8:15, but now I have to find a neighbor to jump the car. And I still have that blinding migraine.

I think I caught [color=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/color]'s grumpies. The nice news is that I was able to get PS's for my sister just now for CRT on Aug 5. Her family's first trip ever!!! She has no idea what looking down Main Street at the castle will feel like!

I hope everyone's day is starting better!

She's absolutely right. I didn't even call her this morning because I didn't want to say goodbye. It's better if I just pretend she's at work and really busy. We don't get to talk much on weekends usually anyway.

Lewski re: Teacher Appreciation. Daniel swears no one else has given the teacher a gift, why does he have to? He gets so embarrassed about the silliest things. Must be a boy thing or something because Holly is bouncing off the walls, can't wait to give out her gifts, couldn't we have gotten ALL the teachers at her school something? She says they are all so nice and work so hard. Hopefully, my dishes won't go down in history the way that one poor mom's did. What were you teaching? When? Where? For how long? Well, [color=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/color], I meant to send you PD for your popped tire and I forgot, and look where it got me. To top it off, I parked in the middle of the garage since DH is O/T and now no neighbor can get in with jumper cables to help. I'm going to have to call my cellphone Mr. Rescue line and use up one of my free "rescues, since they have really long jumper cables." This really burns my fanny.

At least my next door neighbor is letting me borrow his van to take Katie to school on time.

Anyway, I had an interesting day yesterday. Our marketing and development folks asked me to go to a public school and talk to a class of kids. Apparently, they had collected in excess of a thousand dollars and wanted to donate it to us. Well, I get there, ready to give a little speech and sit and do a Q&A with the kids.

Turns out, they had invited two other agencies as well and TA DA! They weren't actually going to give any of us the money. Rather, they wanted each of us to sit and chat about our organizations and THEN they'd decide who they would give the money to. Kinda sneaky, eh?

Nevertheless, it was a fun afternoon and the kids were so intelligent, it was scary. One little girl, about 8 years old stood up and asked me "If we were to give you the money, would it be a long term or short term solution to the hunger problems in New York."

First time in all the times I've ever had to do a public thing where I actually went, "Uh...." LOL!

Anyway, back at the ranch, in answer to yesterday's other QOTD about broken bones. I've never broken a thing. Well, perhaps my dignity and self respect, but no bones.

You have to refresh the charge every 3-4 months, but it can boost your battery in 10 minutes so you can start your car, without finding a neighbor. (Oh, and someone posted somewhere that most airports have a free service in their parking lost for Dead Batteries...

OK, I am off to get changed and go to work. We have a wedding that we are sort of invited to tonight that we should go to, DW doesn't really want to go, neither do I, but it is one of those sentences that is suspect ("any sentence that starts with the words 'I Should' should be suspect") If we do go, it will be a "Wham-Bam-Thank-You-Mam" "In-and-out-Quick" experience; the kids step Grand-Father worked for our company for many years and did lot's of nice (and some not-so-nice) things for me. He sent his step-grandson (who helps in his care---he has Parkinson's) to me for the ring... I told him that we would show unless I get out of work too late... which translates to if RRBB is feeling OK and can find something to wear....

Oh well, off to get ready for work...By later..

Actually, no. My shoes aren't the problem. And usually I'm a very careful driver. You know when sometimes you drive somewhere and get there out of habit, don't really have to pay attention to how to do it? Well, I turned into a parking lot out of sheer habit and they had poured new curbing that THEY NEVER HAD BEFORE! Anyway, that is sooo yesterday...
