There are the places in Epcot that I've had dinner:

Mexico - yeah, it was okay.
a favorite

Germany - always good for a laugh--but I haven't been there since it became a buffet.
only been there once...not impressed

Japan - can't remember the name, but ya can't go wrong with habachi food in my book.
never been, but like hibachi

France - ugh! This was the year before Rob and I were married. We were young and stupid. Rob accidentally ordered an appetizer thinking it was an entre. I mean, they don't give you enough food as it is...
had dinner here new year's eve 1999/2000....was in the park with 75,000 of my closest (literally) friends....one of our best meals ever at Disney....also the most expensive....great story on how we got that table...will have to tell it sometime

Morocco - This was interesting. Food was good, but it was really quiet in there--hmmm, maybe not a good place for us to go.
great food....you must've missed the belly dancer and musical accompaniment...

Rose and Crown - Probably the time we ever had at Epcot, because we sat outside, and just as dinner came out, Illuminations started. Very cool.
ate here too long ago to remember...DH usually just gets his fish'n'chips at the walk-up

But all of that is moot. During the F&W festival the best thing to do is circle around WS, eating appetizer portions at the 50 (?) or so extra walk-up booths, getting appetizer sized desserts, and half-sized wine/beer all day The BEST place/time to become a glutton!!

Alfredo's is the only place I've eaten at Disney that I really hated. The food was yuck (but Italian is my favorite!), DH's tasted like Chef Boyardee! The tables were SO close together that they guy next to me and I were constantly knocking elbows. Service was terrible. I keep getting tempted to give it another try, but there are so many places I love and so many I haven't tried yet that I don't bother....

Thanks for the tip ohanafamily I'll be sure to check there. He's a pretty snappy dresser, so I'm hoping I can find one that he'll like AND wear. I know he has a blue one that's all Mickey ears, so if they have that one there I can get an idea of what he'll wear.

His frat brothers were saying that Kwame is receiving offers like for modeling and business. Channel 17,( nbc), was saying that he's coming back to the Triangle this weekend. I was only half-listening---I was catching up on posts. I wasn't rooting for him---I didn't think he was the best-Bill was my favorite along with that Idahoian- Troy.

Ours too! With that "end of the flower festival" comment thought you'd heard it was ending or something. Glad to know I mis-understood! I don't do the programs or anything what with my black thumb and all (I can kill ivy, if you can believe that) but I really enjoy seeing all the topiaries and LOVE flowers, even if I can't grow any!!

If you don't see a tie you love, World of Disney at DTD carries a REALLY snappy dress shirt that has a discreet Mickey head icon embroidered on the top of the pocket. I know they had white and light blue, both with navy embroidery. Might go really well with the tie he has...or with a new one you find! How many presents does he get ?

Well, just checking in before bed. No fightin' tonight. I guess I won't whoop up on ya ohana........this time.

Well, Survivor was great & I picked the Apprentice winner the 2nd week it aired. Yes folks, I am great. Also, America finally got it right on American Idol this week. The bottom 2 were right on the money. I just hope the one who came in 2nd to last gets the boot next week (I don't know what time you West Coasters get these shows, so I ain't givin' nuthin' away). OOOOH! I am so excited about American Idol next week..........celebrity judge is........Barry Manilow! I love him. I've even seen him in concert (yes, I am a dork).

OMG, I almost forgot. I had the craziest dream last night. I was hanging out with David Bowie (that's right Barb, David Bowie ). It was so strange. We were sitting on the couch talking about this & that. It seemed so real, & I kept thinking "I've got to get a picture of us together so I can post it for Bichon Barb on the DIS". YOU PEOPLE ARE GETTING INTO MY DREAMS.......TOO WEIRD! Anyway, DS-Josh woke me up before I got the picture taken.

QOTD: I've eaten at San Angel for lunch & we really liked it. The best part was the margaritas! I've also eaten at the Italian restaurant for lunch. We liked it. Not too crazy about the service, though.

Does the yellow highlights on the TAG swap page mean you got our box or you're still waiting on it? If you're still waiting, I'm so sorry I cheaped out and took parcel post. He said it would be to you on the 14th or so. By the way...go ahead and send mine "slow boat to China". We leave here on the 30th for our trip and won't get mail that day until May 7 when we get home

You know...this will be the first time we've actually stayed 7 nights! We arrive the first night at midnight, so maybe that shouldn't count, but we really wanted to get a full day the next day and not take up another half day for driving, so we're doing all 11-13 hours at once. Leave here at noon and hope for the best TWO WEEKS to go! Woo hoo!!!!!

We've kept in touch via phone/e-mail/instant messaging nearly daily. It's been nice just having a guy to talk to...I'm soooooo out of that whole scene.

Really must run to Walmart now.

I have a room for Boston!!!! I'm so relieved now. Someone else that's going and had a room booked let me know today that she has a spare bed in her room for me. She was waiting to hear if a friend of hers was going to go to CKU but that friend decided not to go. I'm so happy with her decision. Now I can stop worrying about accommodations and start enjoying all the pre-planning and anticipation. (The only other big thing to deal with is airline ticket, but that shouldn't be a problem.)

Hey [COLOR=FF0033]cadburysmom[/COLOR], I just realized you'll be getting to WDW the day before we leave. I think you mentioned you have PS at Ohana's that night. What time? Maybe we can plan to have dinner there at the same time and actually have a tiny [color=0066FF]T[/color][color=CC0066]A[/color][color=00CC66]G[/color] meet, or at least introduce ourselves. What do you think?
