OMG.....just got back from getting my hair cut or shall I say "chopped to pieces"....all I asked for was a quick trim and the stylist chopped it up and put all these new layers in....it looks really weird! I've been going to her for about 3 yrs and this has NEVER happened before.... I asked her what she was doing and she said she wanted to try something new...WITHOUT asking me first:mad:...well of course I got upset, and then she got upset and actually teared up...well I calmed her down and paid her anyway and she promised I'd like it later or she'd fix it...just how the **** is she gonna fix it???? I stopped by a friend's house to get her opinion and she says it looks fine, just different but I think she's just being nice....southern women are all like that....even your closest friends don't want your feelings hurt so they'll never tell you you look bad unless they're drunk...believe me, I know....I practice what I preach....

....so, anyway, I've got 8 coming over for Jordan's birthday dinner Monday and 15 kids for his party afterschool on Thurday..and I look like a complete hag!......that's it, I'm getting my friend drunk tonight and finding out what she really thinks......grrrrrrrrrr

sorry about the rant....just had to get it out.....feels better now, thanks!

RRBB - you asked me to choose a color for myself, then I'll be added to the color wheel with a button...could you please explain a bit more? I've seen names in color here but really don't understand it...

ibouncetoo - Ah, you like Viggo too, huh? How do you like his short, light-colored hair? I liked it better in "G.I. Jane" and really loved his longer hair in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I LOVE his voice though...ack, better get the drool bucket back out... ;)

BichonBarb - I see you like camping, us too!! What kind of camper do you have? We started out (many years ago!) with a tent, then "graduated" to a pop-up and had that for several years when the kids were growing up, then moved up to a 5th wheel and we are on our second one of those now, and just love it. I can hardly wait for camping "season" to start up again!!

Oh, you mentioned spots on your carpet from cleaning up pet messes, I know what you mean. I had been told that vinegar will get out "pet smells" from carpet so I used it here and there on our family room carpet, not knowing it would take the COLOR out of the carpet too!! Ugh!! The room is 25'x25' square so spending $$$ on new carpet ain't gonna happen... :(

cadburysmom - So sorry about your haircut, I can't imagine why she would "try something new" without discussing it with you, when you only wanted a trim!! Yikes!!

Oh dear, cadburysmom, was it long and now it's short? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/1039.gif' alt='Haircut' border=0></a>Short and now you're bald? My DH's last haircut insured that our barber bill should be nil for the rest of the year... it will take that long to grow out to where he needs a haircut again. And he didn't have much hair to start with in certain spots! I hope that after you wash it and do it yourself your way, it won't be so bad.

My sister is a minister in Nashville and one of her best sermons was about "Toxic Southern Niceness." ::yes:: She said the only thing worse is "Toxic Christian Southern Niceness!"

Cadburysmom ...You have got to be kidding . How on earth would she think that was ok after 3 years ???? I'm sorry you had a bad hair day today .I bet you look fine :D I would have looked at her and told her to hand you her scissors because it was her turn to sit in the chair .

cadburysmom, sorry about the new 'do. Here, have a Pina Colada.

Mad4Mickey, looks like we may have to extend this 1000/2000 post party into tomorrow as you are getting mighty close to the 1000 mark!!! Who would you like your man-servant to be?

cadburysmom how about wearing a HAT? I am sure that it not THAT bad and that you look very nice and much younger with this hair cut..
:teeth:

BTW I got mine cut today too... Let's have some chocolate to feel better... I got some bags of Ghiradelli squares today .. mint chocolate, dark chocoate with double chocolate filling, dark chocolate with carmel filling and chocolate with carmelized almonds.. that takes care of dinner...NOw what shall we have for dessert????

RRBB
Heard back from that cousin. Other than the Marriott nearby, he wasn't familiar with hotels down there. Said the one thing he did know was that all the ones in the area are muchos dineros $$$$! Sorry! Hopefully one of the other conventioners will want a roomie so you can split the convention rate!

Good luck!

You know, it never occurred to me you wouldn't take your cropping stuff with you? That makes these things MUCH more feasible now!! Uh oh....

Hi, am in a rush at work...phone keeps ringing, wife keeps IMing, the nerve...

Chattyaholic, go to www.tagliarchy.com/color.htm
that is the color wheel. RRBB has some cute pictures on how to work it... just double click on a color box, this puts the code in th box. Then hit ctrl-c. This copies it onto the clip-board. then go to your post, position the insertion point, and hit ctrl-v. There is a link at the top of the page to the available colors.

Gotta run...

PM me the name of that place so that I can avoid it--I need to get my hair done before my next trip.

Hey October-meet TAGLIKINS! Look at this article I just came across, WOO HOO! :

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- After eight years and millions of delectable food and wine samplings, the month-long Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will lengthen its run next year to 45 days beginning Oct. 1, 2004.

In recent years, the popular festival has grown dramatically, attracting a diverse audience of wine connoisseurs and gourmands, as well as droves of wine "amateurs" eager to boost their wine IQs. In addition, the wine fest's Eat to the Beat! nightly concerts, with acts that that have included Sister Sledge and Three Dog Night, have drawn additional crowds since their 2002 festival debut.

"Each year, we host the largest, longest wine fest in the world, and as demand for our food and wine events increased, we knew it was time to grow even more for our guests," said Epcot vice president Brad Rex. "We're happy to announce the festival will expand by 15 additional days and run from Oct. 1 through Nov. 14, 2004."

cadburysmom, OMG, how horrible...

I bet it isn't that bad... how about posting a picture?????

:bounce:

Oh, and we already knew about the food and wine festival, and the end of the flower festival...

 , smartypants.

I knew it was in October, but the last few years, it has started in mid-October & I thought we'd miss it. They have expanded it by 15 days so it now starts the 1st of October.

Cadburysmom -- so sorry about the hair. :( I bet that tomorrow, when you do it yourself, it won't be so bad. I often freak out after a new cut, and then after I get used to it, I get to like it.

Kadaten -- I brought home the internet brochure on the house. My mom says it's too small. I'm about to give up. It's always too small, too big, too much money, needs too much work, etc. They live about maybe 7 miles from here. But their neighborhood is looking really bad. So many people are just pigs and don't take care of their homes. Also, they are getting up in age. My dad will be 80 in August, and my mom is 75 (and doesn't drive). So I thought it would be great if they bought in walking distance to my home. They agreed. I live in a new development, but right next to us is an older area with mostly ranches and capes that were probably built in the 50's. But the market is doing well here, so homes are selling quickly.

Chattyholic, we have an Outback 25 RSS which we bought last summer. Before that we had a Coleman popup which we used for over 5 years. I love the new Outback. It has a rear slide which is a large bed and a small slide which is the couch. I'll look to see if I have any pics of it. Post pics of your RV if you have any. :Pinkbounc

Toxic Southern Friendliness? That's funny. I'll have to share that one with my sister in Atlanta. ::yes::

QOTD:

Are you from the place where you now live or are you a transplant?

Born and raised in the City of Syracuse. I now live in an eastern suburb. I've never lived elsewhere.

Expert Dis-ers find out these things when calling to pick reservation times, but only cadburysmom's hairdresser knows for sure... yeah right...

Hey, RRBB, how about Nephosaurus's favorite Salad Bar for Dinner? I'll stop by the mailbox on the way home...

Hey Lewski, maybe we should do Epcot on one of our full days in the morning, go back to hotel for a rest, and then go back in the evening for samplings around the world! :hyper:

Cool!

FIGHT!! FIGHT!! FIGHT!! FIGHT!! FIGHT!!

Hey everybody. There's gonna be a fight! OF and DHB 7:00 pm. Behind the castle!
