OK, Don't Worry, I Have My Swim Suit On.....
CANNONBALL!!!

Hey girls, I like car washes too, but I am too young to drive. I can be a "Hottie" too, but only when I breath fire.

If there is anyone left in the kitchen, may I have a Mickey Bar Please?

Thank god for small favors! :rotfl: Just kidding Nephosaurus. You really are cute, even when nekked, but I couldn't resist. ;)

Hi all, getting ready to head off to bed now. I didn't really do much today - though I did help ohanafamily carry stuff down from upstairs, no matter what he says!!! And I also finished some special scrapbook pages that I'm giving to my sisters and MIL for Mother's Day. Other than that... I'm planning for tomorrow to be much more productive so I'd better get some shut eye now.

Goodmorning all,
Well today is a bank holiday in England which means no work :D DH and I were going to go out into the country for the day but in typical bank holiday weather it is
rain.gif
!!

RRBB When I had to look after my friends baby yesterday (she is also a teacher, in fact my DH worked with her for 5 years until he got a promotion and moved schools) at one point when she was having a 2 minute break whilst someone was getting ready to go on stage she came over and I said she had been really wriggly and crying a little. She took her for a second and said "Oh her nappy is a bit full, I'll have to change it in a minute" and passed her back! Now as I don't have kids of my own and we have no babies in mine or DH's family I have never changed a nappy before, and don't intend to start now!! OK rant over!

So does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do today? It is raining so we can't go outside anywhere. I wanted to go to IKEA and have a look around but it will be so busy on a bank holiday weekend it will be a nightmare. I don't really want to stay in, but it looks like I might have to!

Oh well, waffles, pancakes and juice are on the table for everyone. I'm going to ponder what I can do today.

TTFN

Morning everyone. No color this am. For some darn reason, every time I begin to type on a post it only lets me type in a few letters and I need to reset it again. I have no idea why it is doing this. Has been for about a week now. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_8_8.gif' border=0></a>

DANAUK, play cards? Its crappy weather here and I wouldn’t mind sitting down and playing some cards this afternoon. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_8_3.gif' border=0></a>

<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_3_36.gif' border=0></a> HYZDUFAN, I haven’t had the opportunity to welcome you yet to the best thread on the DIS boards. Glad you are here and congrats on #1000. See, we all do not have a life! Hehehehe

GEFFRIC, one hs group had a car wash this past weekend and these young teenage girls were holding signs over their head wearing bikinis. Needless to say the line for the car wash was long. I told Sam under NO circumstances would her cheer group wear bikinis w/o a t-shirt on. I guess I am a prude. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_3_120.gif' border=0></a>

ODDBALL,wow you made a mint on the carwash. We have never even gotten close to $700. Did you set a price or was it donation?? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_2_106.gif' border=0></a>

NEPHO. I’m sure you are a cutie with a swimsuit on. But I just loved the pic of you with the ax. I laughed until I cried. TOOOOOO funny!! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/1/1_4_73.gif' border=0></a>

Not sure what else is going on. I’m on word typing and it is hard to keep going back and forth to see what is up hmmm

DHB and TINKBACKWARDS how is mom doing> Has NP hit her up. Wasn’t she having surgery this week?? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_4_5.gif' border=0></a>

OK TAGLICANS, off to start Mon. “Rainy days and Mondays always get me down” –esp. if they are combined!! Ugh. Will pop in later. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4_2_1.gif' border=0></a>

BTW My son scored 2 goals on SAT’s game!! He is now know around her as Beckham!! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/18/18_3_300.gif' border=0></a>
And Sam’s play’s critique comes out Thurs. Whoo hoo.

Good morning TAGLIKINS!

Danauk Thanks for a yummy breakfast and enjoy your day off. Relax, read a good book or go see a movie.....my favorite things to do on a rainy day :)

Cheeringmom Congrats to your son for making two soccer goals! :teeth: Jordan's team hasn't won yet this season :( and he has one game left on Saturday. Oh, well, there's always next season!

Well, it's raining here too and I've gotta get Jordan to school. They have standardized testing this week so he's a tad bit nervous. I just can't believe we have just a few more weeks til summer vacation...it goes by soooo quickly!

Have a great morning......I'll check back later!:wave2:

Cheeringmom congratulations on your sons goals this weekend you must be really proud. I did not have a good football weekend. It is nearly the end of the season here and the team I have supported all my life, Leeds United are being religated to the first division (they have been in the premier league, the top league since I was 9 years old!!)
BTW, over in the UK at the moment, being known as Beckham means a whole other thing right now and it is nothing to do with his footbal skills;)
After a game of scrabble DH and I have decided to be brave and go to IKEA. We want to do some house decoration over the summer and so we want to go check out some ideas. IKEA is just over an hour drive from here so it will be an afternoon out for us. Plus the store is open until 7pm so it shouldn't be too bad.
Well must have some lunch then we can go.
Have a good day everyone.:wave2:

Good morning everybody!

Sounds like you guys had a great pool party last night! One of these days I'm gonna get to go to one of them. I miss out on all the night-time fun. Couldn't we ever have one during the day?

I thought I had a doctor appt. today, but it's not til Wed. I cleaned the house yesterday and went to the grocery store because I usually do those things on Mon. Now what do I do?

ok guys I may not stay at the WL in Sept. I may go to the AKL. HELP me

OK I liked both Lewski's idea of a split stay and Ohana's idea of staying at the Y&B Club. Since you are adults, I bet you will spend a lot of time at EPCOT. It's so neat at the Y&B Club and it's also right there with the BoardWalk, more adult night-time fun.

We went to dinner at Boma's at the AKL this last trip and have decided we must stay there soon. It is soooo neat, the animals are way closer than I thought they would be.

If you have stayed at WL before, why not go ahead and try something new? This way you two can discover a place together, you wouldn't be such a "tour guide" to him, at least at the hotel. I end up loving every resort we stay at so much and want to go back there, but if I did that I would never accomplish my goal of staying at every resort they have! And they keep building new ones!

Ok, let me wrap up my two cents - I would go for a split stay at the AKL and move the Y&B Club for at least two nights. {It will be more expensive than AKL, so stay as long as you can afford.}

I haven't picked out a movie to watch tonight yet. I watched one this afternoon, FearDotCom,...

Oh, so you like the scarey movies? Do you like the slasher flicks like Rick? What movie did you end up watching last night?

Nope, they haven't tried anything yet. Not really sure when that surgery is, I think maybe two more weeks. MIL is doing OK so far, but she sure tires easily. She has turned DH down on seeing a couple movies, which never happens. I think she is being a good girl, taking it easy and I kind of worry because she isn't one to complain much and she has mentioned how tired she gets a couple times. It's amazing that this little surgery ended up being such a major recovery. THANK YOU for asking about her.

Congrats to your son! But I'm with Danauk, Beckham not such a role model, how about Pele or whatever his name is? Is he still around? And about Sam, don't know if you ever told this, what does she hope to be? Is she interested in an acting career? You said before she might go to a FL. university, what does she want to study?

OK, I'm off to the shower before my little Ella bug rises!

Good morning all...

Cheeringmom, congrats to DS and more Kudos to Sam. There is a school that posts a picture of their sports teams, with their names, and gives the posters to local merchants to proudly display. If we ever have kids, that is a big NO NO!!!!!.

As far as your computer goes, I would try and see uf clearing out the TEM subdirectory would help, and I would also run Adware from http://www.lavasoft.de. Sometimes a file gets clogged in the temp directory which makes the program that created it (usually a Microsoft program) act fuunier than Lewski709 talks. If it has been doing this for over a week, Dixk Cleanup may find it, just make sure to checj the Temperary files option... I'll be by later if you would like more techie talk.....

Danauk, thanks for breakfast, enjoy you DIY day. You can also watch your new back yard water feature, and look at the froggies...

Oh well, alarm is going off, time to get up and get dressed for work. No bank holiday here...Our Trainer (who comes by 3 times a week, is in England (Sandwich or Samwhich I think) to visit his Mum, so we had a Lie In this AM. He will be back on Wednesday.

Oh, yesterday at Dinner we Watched Gene Kelley in "Singin' in the Rain" It is a great show for a rainy day.

:bounce:

ohanafamily I love singing in the rain, it was one of the first musicals I saw live (with Tommy Steele in London when I won a cooking competition). I performed in it a few years ago when our theatre gtoup did the show. It was great (especially funny on the last night when the rain truck leaked during the famous scene and flooded the orchestra pit - we had to dry the clarinetists music in the break with hair dryer and the conductor had to conduct and hold a bucket at the same time!!!!) We laugh about it now but it was not funny at the time!

QOTD: How come you can find one shoe in your closet in the morning but never it's partner? How come it has myteriously gotten into the back of the closet and you have to practically empty it out to find it.;)

s&k'smom because the twin to the alien that lives in the washer and takes socks lives in the closet and plays with the shoes..
