...it seems like everyone is singing ballads lately - ZZZZzzzzz!
Smileybug, thanks for that information. I guess the $500 we paid him for subsequent surveys of the same property area was agood deal or he had less to survey. That makes me feel better about that--I always wondered.
Legomom: You're HOME! I hope you enjoy your new digs!
It is yummy stuff....sounds dee-LISH....![]()
Adam is my favorite too. I found last nights show pretty dull. Hope next week is better. Lets hope for a good theme.
My daughter needed the car today b/c she had a 9:15 Dr appt. I had to call school to let them know she would be late b/c she had to drop me off. Then I had to write her a note saying she had to leave for her Dr appt then again
at 11am to pick me up. She brought me home and went back to school with the car b/c she has to work after school. Really need a 2nd car and I don't know how that is going to happen. Pretty difficult in this economy finding someone who wants to buy waterfront property.
LegoMom.That's great news. Interesting breakfast.
I've never had grits and the only sausage I eat is made out of turkey.

I know and too many ballards = boring.
Cloudy, breezy and 40's. Brrrrrr When is it going to warm up?
Last night was boring. The highlight now for me is waiting to see what Adam is going to sing.
As far as selling your land goes. We have been seeing homes go in just day around here. And don't forget how fast LegoMoms hom sold. It just takes that one person.
I know. Its time to shake things up a bit.
TarzansKat, good luck.
Easter egg hunt at daycare today. This should be cute. I helped them make their baskets yesterday.
TK...it might not hurt to talk to a builder. You might be surprised. And talk to different builders. Like anything, you will get different prices per square foot. We nterviewed 4 when we built our home. (we actually went to properties they had already built) Its a shame you don't live in SC. We could do your survey. Build or buy.![]()
TK: It wouldn't hurt to talk to different builders, too.
I just had bisquits with sausage gravy and grits for breakfast!!...
No, I'm not kidding.
Soooo......
We bought the house! Can't. Believe. It. (Mean Queen it's not too far from your Starbucks!...I'll PM you the details!)
Now to finally unload that U-Haul and try to get some sense of normalcy back in our lives....!
.
Smileybug, you are right. Just need to find that one person. PLEASE let me find him/her. Looks like low 50's and showers on and off for days. Except Sunday says high 40's. I'm hoping for 50's on Sunday.

We interrupt this entertaining programto bring you the ongoing saga of TK and her home hunting.
Happy home hunting. Hardee har har.
TK's a little cagey, can you tell?
Alright, I love my husband. Obviously. And tonight was good. In the sense that going to look at two ranches made him affirm that he hates them. Hates that style of house, and they were very, very small. Like, the size of our apartment small. And for the price, honestly, just not worth it to have a third bedroom, you know? (Two bedroom apartment.) So then he says to me, well I really liked that cape better. A DUH!!!! I loved it from the getgo, you pita.
And I'm still in love with it. It's still way overpriced. It's still been sitting on the market for 5 months.
I'm seriously considering a lowball offer on it. I mean, what's the worst they could say? No.![]()
Did you go to the Bob Evan's near your new home? They have the best sausage gravy and biscuits. That's actually my second Starbucks, there's one even closer to my house. Though I am less than 10 minutes away from that one. Congrats on finding a home. I hope unpacking isn't too much of a pain.
As for Idol, while I'd love for Adam to win, there are an awful lot of Adam haters out there who would vote for anyone but him. I'm trying to figure out if Idol is just more boring this year or if everyone seems boring compared to an entertainer like Adam.
I would put in a lower bid. I would also write a letter telling them how much you and your family love it and would love to live there. But when you offer a lower bid, don't go so low that the owners are offended.![]()
TK: I'd put in a lower bid, as well. I agree with Smileybug, write a letter to the owners. Also, research the tax value of the house. This is public record, so no problem. Our tax value is on line, so. . . 9 times out of 10 the tax value is lower than the asking price in our area.
I'm glad you're in agreement, but we have a slight problem. I would LOVE to write a letter, but I wouldn't know where to send.
Currently, no one is living in the home, it's empty. I don't know if it's probate or another situation. I don't want to offend the owners by a low offer, but I also know what I can't afford. You know?
Why is he hated so much?

Give it to the realitor with your bid.
When we bought our home, we really lowballed them. And they took it! We explained to the realtor that we loved the home, but it was out of our range. She asked what our range was, when we told her, she said to make an offer. She'd see what the owners would take. The house had been up for a year, they had another house they were paying on, so they took it. I hope your situation works out as well.
I'm not really sure. I guess some just don't like his dramatic style. They say he screeches, seems fake and acts cocky. I don't see that, but I know he's not for everyone. There were even people who didn't like David Cook. (but don't tell Kimmar, or you'll have to hold her back.)
I think he is AWESOME. He is soooo different. His voice is just... chilling. Rachael and I just watched last nights performance again. It gave me goose bumps again. Well, one thing I know for sure. The judges aren't letting him go home. Not tonight anyway. How many times has Simon given a standing ovation in the history of this show?
And don't worry about kimmar. We can handle her.![]()
