Thanks! She was 6 weeks early, weighed just over 4 pounds, and spent her first 10 days in the NICU. Now, she's bigger than her big sister was at the same age and just a smart. :cutie:

She's a doll! And isn't she the one who calls Donald Duck, nonald nuck?

I saw my son's teacher at the gas station this afternoon. I'm typically not one to walk up to a teacher out of hours and talk to her about my kid, but I had to today. Danny absolutely adores Nicole and she looked so tired, I thought she needed to hear it. Nothing makes you fell better than a teacher who tells you your child is "exceptionally bright" and "very kind hearted". She also told me she loves this class so much she wants to move with them to the 3rd grade! She said Danny is one of the main reasons why she'd like to move with them. I don't know when I've been a prouder Mama.

Hi, everyone! Hope you all had fantastic days. I'm counting the moments till I can go pick up my special edition 3 disc DVD set of Twilight at Target tomorrow. :lmao: I will not, however, be going at midnight.

I may do that for a Harry Potter book, but this DVD is just going to have to wait. Although if I didn't have to work tomorrow, I'm sure that would be a different story. Then I'd be partying with the rest of the fangirls! :lmao:

MeanQueen, your daughter is adorable! It's amazing how fast they grow. I can't believe that my son turned four in February. Just like you, I remember when he was so little! Bringing him home from the hospital, and everything, you know? Now we're in big boy beds and I just heard him recite Humpty Dumpty from memory.

These years are so sweet. I cherish them. :goodvibes

She is!

I guess it was a good thing you talked to his teacher. Maybe one day I'll have a teacher tell me how bright my oldest is without the "but..." for her behavior. :rolleyes1

Happy Birthday to Paige!!!

I have been exhausting the Internet this evening, doing research on schools in Florida......
10_1_11.gif
My head is spinning! I'm overwhelmed. I think I'm finally starting to get somewhere, though. I found the web site for the district, which in turn pointed me to individual schools. This school choice bit in FL is totally new to me...we have nothing like that in NH (unless of course you simply want to fork over big bucks for private school).

Since you are looking in Pinellas, I can help quite a bit. You can either go to your neighborhood school or apply for a magnet/fundamental. Magnets are specialty schools. For example, I've tried hard to get my oldest into the arts magnet. In addition to regular classes, it also teaches kids music, drama, and art. The fundamentals are much stricter schools. If a kid doesn't follow the rules, they can get kicked out. If a parent doesn't attend mandatory meetings, the kid can get kicked out. The downside to most magnets and fundamentals is they are usually located in the worst parts of town.

If you want to look at my DD's school, here's the website.
http://www.imagineschoolsstpetersburg.com/
It uses the Project Child method of teaching, but is a free public school.

Happy Saturday, everyone! :goodvibes

Right back at ya!

DD's birthday party is today. Of course, she woke up last night with a fever, coughing, and sneezing. I'm hoping she's just well enough to still have her party today. Darn Murphy's Law. Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.

Also, DH is out of town all next week for work. I have big shoots set up all week at work. So if she is really sick, I am out of luck.

Good morning ya'll. :grouphug:

I have been trying to say that for the last 2 hours. Every time I have sat down to post, the phone rings or someone needs something.

Mean Queen....Your baby is precious. Happy birthday to her!! It never ceases to amaze me how fast they move from one stage of their lives to another. (They get older. We get better. :thumbsup2 )

LegoMom...I love that tag. You have been finding some fun ones lately. :goodvibes

I hope you all have a great Saturday. I have a million and 2 things to do today. But we have such beautiful weather it is going to be a pleasure to do them. Its a little cool but it is sunny with an absolutely beautiful blue sky.

Aw, the poor peanut. I hope she starts feeling better soon and that you all have a great day! :goodvibes

I so now how you feel, we all have days like that.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. :thumbsup2

I am absolutely scrambling to put together a scrapbook album for my mother for her birthday. My father and I rather haphazardly decided that we'll have her birthday tomorrow at this fantastic sushi restaurant (we know the owners, long story) and throw her off by not doing it on Tuesday, which is her real birthday. Unfortunately, since we're both mega-unprepared, I have no gift ready.

So, thank goodness Walgreens has a buy 25, get 25 prints free deal going. I Just ordered 100+ prints of our December Disney trip.

And it will be scrapbooked by two pm tomorrow.

It will.

It will. :rolleyes1

Thanks, hon! I'm actually a very quick scrapper, but my mom likes a more embellished look so that will take a little bit.

I'm going to be a scrapbooking machine!!!! :lmao:

I'm just waiting for Walgreens to finish my prints. :rolleyes1

Good luck! I thought I was pushing it to do a small brag book for my Grandmother's birthday next week. But a scrapbook in a day? :scared1: You go TK!

You know that show Man V. Food?

I feel like I was just in Woman V. Scrapbook.

I'm proud to say I won. :lmao:

100+ pictures, 1 scrapbook, me, and about 3 hours.

WOO HOO!!!!

I'm so excited for my mom to see this, I know she hasn't had time to scrap this, so she'll be so pleased. And really, my parents are at the point where they just don't really "need" anything, so I love giving pictures.

Gift of memories = best thing ever. :thumbsup2

I can barely shove 100 pictures into the slots of a photo album in 3 hours. WTG on creating a beautiful keepsake in that amount of time.

Wow that was some downtime!! How was everyone's Sunday? We're all fighting yet another round of colds which we DO NOT NEED NOW!!!!!!!!!!! The stupid weather doesn't help....upper 50s all last week to 30s today and tomorrow. This is going to be a busy week for us and we need to be healthy! I'll try to post as much as I can because after next Sunday I'll be off for a while! Which, in this case, is a good thing.:goodvibes

Can't wait to hear what's going on! Hope your family stays healthy. You don't want to start off down here with a cold to mix in with pollen season. :rolleyes1

Well, I tried posting earlier, but didn't get it in there. Hmmmmm. . . seems that the board is still a little slow. Anyway, I spent the day making Disney plans, since I make ADRs on Wednesday.

And you might ask my final (and I mean final, because I'm so sick of looking at menus, I refuse to look at them again until Wednesday when I call) decisions are?

Mama Melrose (dinner)
Princess Storybook (dinner)
Chef Mickey's (dinner)
Crystal Palace (dinner)
1900 Park Fare (breakfast)
Grand Floridian Cafe (dinner)
Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner)
Kona (dinner)
Ohana (breakfast)

We will also probably go to either Beaches and Cream or ESPN on the first night just for a walk around the area and stretching our legs after such a long drive. And yes, we decided not to do the Deluxe plan. I kept thinking of all that food in Florida heat in June and it made me a little ill.

Speaking of pollen, I may be wearing my glasses tomorrow. The pollen has my eyes terribly dry.

Missed all of you today. Hope you had a good Sunday!

Mean Queen, I did figure out how I could post from my Blackberry, but it does not help when the board is down and I was without a digital signal at home, so. . .

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes I'm glad we are back up and running. :thumbsup2

LegoMom....I hope ya'll get over those colds quickly. :goodvibes

creativeamanda...your plans are sounding really good. :thumbsup2

TK...you must be exhausted after all that record breaking scrapping.:)

Mean Queen...How did the party go?

I hope its a great monday for everyone.:banana::banana:
